Toranomon Kotohiragu — Attraction in Tokyo

I just stumbled onto this shinto shrine on the way to a gig in Toranomon at Toranomon Hills Station Tower. I was pleasantly surprised because of the location. It is tucked in-between skyscrapers and lots of big buildings. You wouldn't expect a 400 year old shrine but it provides a glimpse into another era. Locals go here to pray for for health, business success. That being said, since the Edo period it has been a place of fervent prayer for many young women seeking a good love connection so it might just be a nice spot to meet someone. And there's plenty of dinner spots in the area. On a serious note, I wouldn't make a special trip here unless you are planning on going to Tokyo Tower, Atago Shrine or maybe Toranomon Hills Station Tower for...
