Japan Sake and Shōchū Information Center — Attraction in Tokyo

Fun stop if you’re into sake & shochu. Really wide variety on offer for a really reasonable price and you can buy the bottles too. Not much explanation from the staff, only the mini write up in the brochure though. Location is in an office building. It wasn’t so educational in English i.e., not much guidance from the staff though. But, plenty of interesting things to taste e.g., drinking mirin, taruzake, aged sake, seasonal sake, shochu with slightly less common ingredients. Great for English speaking visitors. A quiet and comfortable tasting room. Good information and kind associates that had recommendations if asked. Self service water was provided. Tasting notes and information about the beverages were in a pamphlet with numbers you could use to place an order. It is not only a museum and information center, it is also a very well-stocked tasting place and shop. The staff is super competent, friendly and helpful. You can book a tasting flight or choose out of their (I guess around) 100 sake list to try it all for little money.
