Torro Grill & Bar — Attraction in Bishkek City

To start out with, I thought their menu layout was unique for Bishkek. Grouping foods into price sets instead of everything having different random prices. So for example, the 840 some price set includes a Tbone, ribeye, etc.

The service was excellent. We were there for a birthday and had made reservations ahead of time. It was great that there was a non-smoking area too. Live music (not sure if this is weekends only, or if it is every day) in the next room was nice too, although I wouldn't have wanted to be seated right next to them.

Now to the food. It has been a VERY long time since I have had a proper steak that has tasted as good as what I had at Torro. All of us were impressed with their skill of cooking it to the "wellness" we had requested. I had heard that the steaks were quite large so my wife an I shared 1 steak with garnishes, which proved to be more than enough for the two of us.

Lastly, another complement to the staff. Upon arriving home, my wife noticed something had fallen off one of her earrings. On the off chance that it had fallen off at the restaurant, we called them up and asked if they could have a look. Although they definitely didn't have to look, the staff there took the time to look for us and actually found it.

From beginning to end, our experience at Torro was first rate. Although slightly higher priced than most restaurants in Bishkek, I highly recommend this place for a wonderful evening out with family...

The place was beautiful, i still wonder how they were able to put the limousine on the 2nd floor. 😅 i really thought that was cool! Great ambiance 😎 Also, we went there for the jazz music and it didnt disappoint. We enjoyed listening to the musician while having our dinner 🩵

They have good selection of wine and other drinks too. The food was amazing! I didn't expect too much because of the reviews that i have read but honestly i enjoyed my steak!! I ordered rib eye (medium), it was big and it was so soooo good! 👌🏾 what surprised me was the gravy 🥹 they don't normally serve gravy in central asia but Torro did!! I liked the garlic mayo on the side too (sauces make a big difference in my opinion 😉)

Our server was amazing! He was accommodating and friendly. It was also a plus that he can speak english, we didnt have any challenges communicating our order with him.

Absolutely delicious steak here! Best steak I’ve had yet in Kyrgyzstan, and I’ve tried a lot!! Although it was not as hot as I was expecting it to be when it arrived, the meat was very tender and tasty, with the right amount of marinade and spices added to it. This was the 1/2 rib eye- so a nice thick cut that is plenty for a decently sized meal. I think I’d have major meat sweats if I went for the full rib eye! I really appreciated the staff’s accommodation to us on a busy Friday night when we walked in with no reservations with almost every table occupied. My friend and I were happy to take a bit more of an uncomfortable and isolated table, but were happy that the hosts were welcoming and did their best to make sure we were as comfortable as possible.
