A Hidden Side of Riga Revealed – Unforgettable Tour with Kaspars!
This tour was a true highlight of our trip to Riga! Kaspars guided us through the lesser-known, alternative side of the city with passion, humor, and deep knowledge. From historical, modern and creative urban spaces and striking street art with the macbook hedgehog to powerful Soviet-era, art nouveau and modern architecture and personal anecdotes, he brought the stories of Riga’s past and locals present to life in a way that was both eye-opening and thought-provoking.
It felt like exploring the city with a friend who genuinely loves it and wants to show you its soul – not just the tourist hotspots. The pace was great, the route surprising and original, and we left with a new appreciation for the complexity and creativity of Riga.
If you’re looking for something more authentic and off the beaten path, this is the tour you don’t want to miss. Thank you, Kaspars and Free Tours Riga – we’ll be recommending this to...
Read moreWe embarked on the 1 hour and 45 minutes free walking tour of the old city with Edvards, and it was nothing short of amazing. Edvards proved to be an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful. His passion for the history and culture of Riga shone through as he skillfully navigated us through the city's main attractions, providing fascinating insights along the way.
After the enlightening tour, we had a quick coffee session where Edvards generously shared extra tips about Latvia and the city. His commitment to ensuring we had a comprehensive understanding of our surroundings added an extra layer of value to the experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend both the free walking tour and, specifically, Edvards as your guide. His enthusiasm and expertise turned a city exploration into an unforgettable journey. If you're looking to discover the rich history of Riga with a knowledgeable and personable guide, this tour is a...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience on the Old Town walking tour with Riga Free Tours. Our guide, Edvards, was excellent. He is knowledgeable and friendly and passionate about Riga/Latvian history. He spoke clearly and also answered everyone’s questions very thoughtfully. Despite some bad rain, the tour was still excellent and Edvards did a great job of finding cover for us so we could continue our tour. The tour covers the major spots in the Old Town and gives a great overview of Riga’s history and how it changed under different rulers. I recommend doing the tour fairly early in your trip to help orient yourself (both historically and physically) in the city.
If I had one note, I thought it was a bit strange the tour did not cover the “three brothers” buildings, since I think it would be worth stopping at to see the architectural styles, but maybe it was because of the weather.
Overall, I really recommend...
