Byblos Port is such a cool place to visit. The history here is amazing, and the views of the Mediterranean Sea are just stunning. It’s perfect for a relaxing walk, enjoying the sea breeze, and taking in the beautiful scenery. The port is lined with charming boats, and there’s a really laid-back vibe. There are also some great seafood restaurants nearby where you can grab a delicious meal with a view. The sunsets here are absolutely gorgeous, making it a perfect spot for some memorable photos.

Byblos is one of the oldest cities in the world. Its port has some old historical ruines of the old city of byblos. Moreover, boat owners are ready to take you from this port into the sea to have a look at the city from the Mediterranean Sea. In addition to that, you can walk around the area near the fisherman's market and catch a sunset from there. I advise you if it is your first time visiting byblos, to discover every place around the city because you will like it.

Among the most successful rehabilitation operations in the region. Byblos old port and old souks became an attractive location for tourists, foreigners and domestic. You can enjoy a snack or a drink in one of the multiple street café in quite atmosphere protected from traffic. Or you can enjoy shopping of local souvenirs, especially the famous fossils. Our best place for lunch or dinner remains "Bab El Mina" restaurant with its exceptional view on the old Port.

An amazing historical port that is still in use today..in one of the most beautiful cities in the world: byblos. This is a place for locals and tourists ..just walking near the port takes you into a different mood..you can also rent old boats for a half an hour trip in the sea. Many restaurants overlook the sea port and i recommend that you sit there for an early dinner and witness the lovely sunset.

يعتقد مؤرخون أن مدينة جبيل اللبنانية هي أول مدينة في العالم ما زالت مأهولة بالسكان منذ ثمانية آلاف سنة، ويستندون إلى مجموعة آثار اكتشفت في المدينة في عشرينيات القرن الماضي تثبت أن الإنسان عاش في المكان منذ عصور ما قبل الميلاد. وفيما يقول المؤرخون إن الصيادين هم من بنوا المدينة قرب الشاطئ تقول الأسطورة التي استمد منها اسم المدينة إن الإله إيل كبير الآلهة عند الكنعانيين هو من أسسها حيث وفرة الينابيع، فكانت تسمية جبيل اختصارا لـ"جب يل" أي نبع الإله إيل. وتتوفر المدينة على معالم أثرية وسياحية متعددة تجعلها من أبرز الوجهات السياحية على شاطئ البحر المتوسط، ومنها قلعة جبيل التاريخية التي بناها الصليبيون عام 1204، وتضم اليوم متحفا تعرض فيه قطع أثرية مختلفة، وتشرف على مدينة أثرية فينيقية اكتشفت فيها توابيت لملوك حكموا جبيل ومسرح روماني. كما تتوفر جبيل على ميناء مهم استعمل لتصدير خشب الأرز إلى مصر عبر السفن الفينيقية قبل أربعة آلاف سنة، ويعتبر الميناء مصدر رزق وعيش لسكانها، وتتميز المدينة التاريخية كذلك بأسواق قديمة مليئة بالمطاعم والمحلات التجارية حيث الصناعة التقليدية. ويسعى مسؤولو المدينة لتطوير إمكاناتها السياحية. وفي هذا السياق، يقول رئيس بلدية جبيل زياد حواط إنهم يسعون إلى جعل المدينة خالية من السيارات ليتمتع السائح بجميع مواقعها الأثرية.

الدخول إلى ميناء الصيد القديم في جبيل يشبه الدخول في كتاب التاریخ. من هنا أبحرت السفن بعيدا عن مدينة بيبلوس. جبيل هي أقدم مدينة مأهولة بالسكان في العالم، بني ميناء جبيل على طبقات من الأنقاض، وكان في يوم من الأيام أكثر المراكز التجارية ازدحامًا في البحر الأبيض المتوسط و أصل أبجديتنا الحديثة. يحكى أن هذا المرسى كان يعتبر جدار لحماية قلعة جبيل من الغزاة في تلك الحقبة من الزمان و يعتقد أن بعض الأماكن الأثرية في مدينة جبيل تم دفنها تحت المنازل المبنية حديثأ ، و لغاية الآن ما زالت الإستكشافات جارية، لا يمكنك مغادرة جبيل دون زيارة مينائها القديم، بوابة الفينيقيين إلى العالم، أصبح الميناء الآن موطنا للصيادين والقوارب الترفيهية، يوجد العديد من عوامل الجذب السياحي هنا يمكنك المشي لفترة طويلة على الرصيف والتمتع بغروب الشمس الرائع أو الجلوس في أحد المطاعم المجاورة لتناول وجبة لذيذة مع مناظر جميلة مطلة على البحر، رحلات البحر متوفرة في القوارب. إما الرؤية الموقع والإستمتاع الموقع ومشاهدة غروب الشمس أو لصيد الأسماك. وهناك قلعة قديمة تقع في الميناء داخل حدود البحر، هناك موقف مجاني متاح للسيارات.

Description
Byblos Port is an ancient port in Byblos, Lebanon and is believed by the Lebanese to be oldest port in the world. Around 3000 BC, Byblos Port was the most important timber shipping center in the eastern Mediterranean.
