Incredible Art Deco museum in Kaunas (recenty Kaunas Modernist Architecture was granted UNESCO World Heritage status, and this building is an example of it). You need to buy a ticket online, book a date and participate in a guided tour. The ticket price is 23 EUR (totally worth every euro). The owners, a couple - Petras and Karolis, bought this beautiful art deco building, furnished it, rebuild it in a accurate manner and opened it for public to enjoy. It gives you a unique look into the life of lithuanians before Soviet occupation. Our guide was very polite, very engaging. You will be asked to take pictures AFTER the tour and you will have enough time to do so. You will be able to touch everything, to sit on furniture, open drawers and take a look. It's not your typical musuem where you can't touch anything. They also do tours in english and other languages. You can buy personal tour just for yourself, it will be more...

It was amazing how much trust the owners have to let the guess to freely look around and experience every little detail. The guide did a great job at telling a story about the past and how things worked. It really felt like we are the important guests, met with glass of sparkling wine, and toasts. It was amazing how they restaurated old gadgets and actually used them. The place felt alive, and welcoming. I can only imagine how much work it took, but thank you so much for this experience because it reminds how great Lithuanians where and is to this day, and that we need to not forget and cherish our past and...
