CASA DELLA PASTA - Laisvės al. 27 — Restaurant in Kaunas

Horrible service. We had a reservation yet they took forever to find our table. One of the plates never arrived and it was served to another table instead. They didn't even notice that until we informed them. There was almost no remorse over the fact that it took them over 20 minutes to prepare the plate of pasta that was not served to us. Everything was overpriced. We ordered a Caprese Bufala salad for 9.5 euros and this salad literally contained 5 leaves of arugula, 3 slices of tomatoes, 2 mini mozzarellas and 3 walnuts. 9.5 euros and i am not even getting a full sliced tomato. I've lived in italy, i know the prices, even in the most expensive restaurants for that price you get a full portion of salad. It was just ridiculous. The pizza was slightly burned. The taste of everything was ok. Probably the worst "italian" restaurant in Kaunas i strongly do not recommend going. At the end they refused to allow us to split the bill however we noticed a table of locals was paying the bill split. When i complained about the service (the missing plate for over 20 minutes) the headwaitress completely ignored me even though i repeated myself loudlier 3 times. They did not even offer a discount for all the mess ups. The tiramisu was tasteless, they clearly didn't put enough mascarpone. This is not italian management or hospitality, if you want to have an "italian" restaurant, you should follow the customes of such. La pasta faceva...

Very bad service. We were at this restaurant on 1.8.22. We were 3 people. It was me and my wife and our daughter. We ordered food and two beers. I was very determined that the beer had to be light, not dark beer. The food arrived, pizza and carbonara. The waiter was angry and we didn't order toppings on our pizza. We had to order from those on the menu. When the beer arrived on the table it was dark brown beer and very perfumed. I took a swallow and couldn't handle this aftertaste. Went back to the bar and said this didn't taste good. I then ordered a 1664. I knew it tasted good. The food was decent enough. I paid and saw on the receipt that the beer I had delivered was included in the bill. I said I didn't drink that beer. Can't have to pay for a beer I didn't drink. The waiter went to the manager and came back. You have to pay for that beer. Then I asked the manager to come. She could not service. He insisted that I had to pay for that beer. It was only about 4 euros and we are staying in a hotel right nearby. we would probably have eaten more there had they shown understanding and provided service. Absolutely reprehensible how a manager can behave like this towards customers. There was no service whatsoever. So if you have a complaint about this place, you have to pay for the product regardless of what you are complaining about. Do not visit this place if you want...

First time eating at a restaurant in Kaunas, and me and my boyfriend couldn’t be more disappointed. They used 30 MINUTES to bring out 3 slices of garlic bread, and 1 hour for 2 pastas, even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded. The waiters did not engage with us at all. We tried many times to get in contact with multipel waiters, but they seemed too busy with others things. I had to walk up to a waiter after 50 minutes of waiting and trying to get in contact with the staff. As a waiter working at a restaurant who has extremely high standards and busy hours almost everytime, I was very disappointed. The whole experience would have been a lot better if the waiters actually engaged with the guests. And by engage, I mean just taking a «overlook» of the tables to see if you make eye contact with any of the guests to see if they need anything, that’s more than enough. That’s literally the least I expect when going out to eat. I understand the food can take some time, and that the kitchen has a lot to do, but waiters not engaging with their guests is just so underwhelming. The food also tasted really plain, definitely not worth waiting an hour for. This is the first time I actually write a review, because I feel so frustrated about the whole experience. I will not be coming back here, anytime...
