Great place for education. Beautiful art. One of the greatest Lithuanian artists ever. Beautiful music and paintings. Educated, well prepared, helpful and friendly staff. There is a place for children to play and educate themselves. Not only toys but lithuanian educational toys as well. Clean, looked after environment. A lot of signs to know where You are ant where to go next. VR 'Path of Angels' is an amazing experience. Happy to see art from the past to combine with technologies from today and create unique art experience. I personally recomend to experience 'Path of Angels' firs before continuing to paintings and music. Then You can discover visuals from VR in real paintings. Overall amazing experience. Everyone should visit this museum at least once in a lifetime, but I recomend more often.

Very nice museum with more then one exhibitions. There was one about Lithuan history, another one related to stars, galaxy and planets, another one related to the ocean. It was a very good visit and I totally recommend it. I paid 10€ (full price) and I found it very fair. The navigation can be a little confusing as there are many rooms and walls with exhibitions but is not like a maze. I spent around 2h to see it all, at a medium pace, stopping for 1-2 minutes in some spots and just walking by in others. I don't remember seeing elevators so I am not sure if it is accessible, I would give a call before, if you need it.

This solid museum is devoted to Lithuanian post-expressionist genius Čiurlionis (pol. Czurlanis) and his contemoraries. It was built in the mid 30-s from local bureaurecrats and public servants donations - designed by Vladimir Dubeneckij, it is a nice piece of Modernism in iself.. Today the museum is splt into two conceptual parts – on left, you have all Čiurlionis works and even a bit of his music (he was composer as much as he was a painter), and on the right – the art from Centenential Lithuanian Republic, that is – early 20th century. Entrance costs 5 euros, and the choice at souvernir kiosk is ridiculously poor // Nacionalinis M. K. Čiurlionio muziejus, kadaise statytas iš mūsų senelių lėšų (apie tai primena paroda „Signatarai“), kadaise vadinosi Kultūros muziejumi. Jis styatas vienu metu su Karo muziejui. Dabar juos jungia / skiria užmūrytas praėjimas. Neseniai muziejus eksponuotas tuščias, esą Vladimiro Dubeneckio projektas modernizmo kontekste šauniai atrodo ir be eksponatu.

A must-see museum of art named after a famous and prolific painter, writer, composer Čiurlionis, who spoke Polish all his life and fell in love with a young girl, Sofija. In the souvenir shop you can get two books of Čiurlionis letters in original Polish with a translation into Lithuanian and lots of additional information on life and people of his time, poets, painters, writers and other artists, and family members, Warsaw, Petersburg, Palanga, Vilnius, but most of all, about his beloved Sofija.

One of the most interesting museums in Lithuania, it is a must-visit during your stay in Kaunas. The main exposition is related to the life and work of the most famous Lithuanian painter, Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis. It looks absolutely splendid, with beautiful and slightly mysterious paintings and a music hall where visitors can listen to Čiurlionis' musical compositions. I highly recommend a visit to this museum. Thank you, Robertas V.P. General Manager, BANQUEINVEST'com

The person at the reception seemed to begrudgingly sell me a ticket. I didn't realise there would be no context on Čiurlionis without buying the audio guide. It's mostly a shame because he is little known outside of Lithuania. The presentation of information throughout the museum is exceptionally variable in general. There was supposedly a new exhibition but it appeared to be closed. It would be useful to have a guided route through the museum to avoid missing things.
