Hostel Lux — Hotel in Kaunas

Awesome location right in the heart of everything, w’ a caring helpful host whose interesting & informative conversations & suggestions made my stay a truly joyful & memorable one! Everything was correct & clean. Quiet 2 bed Spacious room w’ balcony! Comfy bed & pillow. I slept like a baby. Tues-Friday 3 day stay Host said I had 3 girls in the next room to share the bathroom with - but I never ever heard anyone! Im Extremely happy with the quietness & private room experience. My own Dining table, Microwave, Fridge, Dishes, Tea Kettle, Toaster in my room (perfect for bfast making & heating up/ nuking meals if desired) Luxury rain showerhead as well as handheld with a blow dryer! For an older building they offer Unbelievable quality for such a low price! If they weren’t fully booked, I would have stayed longer as I was so happy that I didn’t want to leave after 3 nites. Definitely my new Kaunas home away from home Thankyou Aurimus for everything ✨🙏✨ Im so grateful🌸

I almost forgot to mention how the towel & the duvet cover smelled so clean & fresh from fabric softener !!

And THAT was a first!!!😅 In all the hostels Ive been in so far they were clean BUT NOT SMELLING SO NICE & FRESH!!😉 Thanks for that detail❣️

First of all, the location is unbeatable - it's on the beautiful main street of Kaunas, surrounded by everything you'd ever need. And if you need to go somewhere, there's probably a Bolt e-scooter nearby that'll bring an experienced rider anywhere for under 1€.

The entrance to the hotel is on the right side of The Green Café, and you need a code to enter the hotel, which is sent by email just before your arrival. When in the lobby you'll find your key on a table together with the room number.

The room was very clean and quiet with a modern window. There are electrigal sockets on either side of the room so you might want to consider packing an extension cord. There's a sign in the lobby with login details for the Wi-Fi network, but if you want then you can get a SIM with 1 TB of data in any store...

Great hostel, the owner clearly takes pride in both the place and the service offered. We checked out early and he was perfectly happy for us to leave bags and keep coming back and forth all day until our evening bus. The actual hostel is rather small but all the rooms are big enough. Price is perfectly reasonable and we have no complaints about this hostel. The hostel and the bakery had an agreement too so you can get a nice discount on breakfast if you go there, which was a nice touch. Do be advised however that the hostel is located behind a fairly unmarked door in an archway which looks on to the main street so took a little effort to find. ||||Would certinly recommend this hostel for a quiet but safe and comfortable...
