Nuogas — Restaurant in Kaunas

My review for this restaurant is very confused because we used to go there every week so here it goes: -The food is delicious - seriously the red thai curry is one of the best I ate and I lived in thailand for 2 years. -the atmosphere is great! Also one of the best in Kaunas. the service is a little bit controversial because the waitresses are nice but the food take sooooo long to come I mean like an hour or hour an half for any food. (Mainly on weekends). -since is one of the only places in Kaunas that serves thai curry so we went there like once a week for a year and recently we discovered they put fish sauce in all their curry dishes even tough I asked them repeatedly about if this dish is vegetarian and they said yes. So basically they lied for a year. -the music is way too lound on weekends you can't even talk. Which I'm sure it's fine for some people so you can choose by your self. -To sum up if you are not vegetarian I recommend you to go there but not for dinner on weekends the kitchen dont deal with...

Tried our luck on a Saturday night in hopes to get a table. When we arrived the place was packed and loud. The lady at the door, hostess I asssume, looked around a bit and directed us, 2 people, to a free table that can sit 4 people just without couple of chairs so only 2 people could be seated there. Just as we took our coats off we were told by a waiter that this table is reserved. The table had no sign or any indication that it was reserved. Confused we went back to talk to the hostess that seated us there in the first place only to discover she was gone and nowhere to be seen. As we were walking away a group of 4 people got seated there seconds later. The staff needs to have better communication on busy nights like this and perhaps some signs that a table is reserved. Visitors shouldn't also be left wondering around, looking for a table. No idea how the other people managed to get a table with 2 chairs missing but I hope they had a better evening...

We were here a few times. First time, we thought we gonna ignore the fact that we had to wait 40min for the main dish and an hour for a sisters starter. We thought it is a new place and some mistakes can happen Second time we had to wait 30min for a sweet potato chips. Really?? So we gave a chance for the third time as the food tastes really good. Start was good, snacks came really quick so we thought that they have improved. But for the mains we had to wait for an hour since the order was placed and guess what? We had to leave because every time we asked the waitress how long it was more to wait the answer was just another 5mins .. So i really recommend to get better on service or to warn the clients that it will take long time for the soup and tikka masala to arrive . Such a shame tho. Food is good, but not coming back here. Oh also don't know if it's a coincidence but the same waitress served us the first...
