Klaipėda Sculpture Park — Attraction in Klaipėda

Today, the Klaipėda Sculpture Park features 116 sculptures of various themes, created by 67 sculptors during sculpture symposiums held in Smiltynė (1977–1991). These sculpture symposiums took place in the summer and were the most significant cultural initiative of that time—not only in the city but throughout the entire country.

In 1986, the Klaipėda Sculpture Park was declared a natural monument of local significance. Each sculpture in the park tells its own story and carries a certain meaning, significance, or idea.

Sculptures from the 19th–20th centuries can also be found in the park. The headstones from the first half of this period reflect the history of the city of Klaipėda. In the southern part of the park, after Lithuania regained its independence, some people whose relatives had been buried in these former cemeteries began to restore the monuments. People started bringing flowers to the park, and in some places, mounds and lit candles...

Nein, dieser Norfa ist sinnlos, da bekommt man Kilometergeld für ein dürres Angebot. Bei der Preisauszeichnung wird aus meiner Sicht betrogen. Zum Beispiel gab es heute Ghee für 7,99 und für 9,99, ich habe sehr genau auf die Sorten geachtet. An der Selbstkasse merkte ich dann, daß auch dieser Ghee mit 9,99 gespeichert war. Das sprach ich bei einer schlampigen Aufsicht an, die kam mir gleich pampig und nahm mir den Ghee weg und strich ihn aus der Einkaufsliste. Daraufhin wollte ich den Chef sprechen, das würde mir verwehrt. Gleichwohl rannte dann so eine Blonde mit etwas mehr Niveau hektisch durch die Gegend und scannte wiederholt den Ghee und noch etwas. Nach dem Abschluss unserer Kassierung wurde unsere Kasse gleich gesperrt....was läuft da? Kickpreise auspreisen und im PC bleiben die Wucherpreise drin, hoffen, daß es die Opfer hier nicht merken. Und wenn doch, dann wird es einfach weggenommen!!! Der Preis am Regal zählt, zu dem entscheidet sich der Kunde, diesen Vertrag hat der Laden dann zu erfüllen....ich schicke denen die Aufsicht vorbei ...Darbo Inspekcija freut sich über Arbeit. Die gleiche billige Methode habe ich auch schon beim Maxima Šilutes Pl. 16 festgestellt, da betraf es den Quark, der mit 3,79 ausgezeichnet war und in Wirklichkeit mit 5,94 durch die Kasse ging. Bei der Kasse dort herrscht immer großer Zeitdruck und man hat kaum Zeit, sein Zeug in Ruhe einzupacken, geschweige denn als Deutscher den Bon in dieser Geheimsprache zu checken.....dort kaufe ich nix mehr ...unmögliches Personal, das Fleischangebot absolut...

Excellent spot to spend a few quiet hours walking in a green and inspiring environment. Could be a nice spot for a picnic, too. This park offers you more than a hundred spectacular stone sculptures to marvel at. Created decades ago, they’re as relevant and inspiring as they were back in the day.
