honest review! staff is slow, very slow. we started “dinner” at 19:15 and our food arrived an hour and a half (!) late, that was, after having to ask where our food was. and (just one of the) employee was frankly rude. although, after our remark, the receiving waiter did inform all the new guests it was very busy so they had to wait for a while another item, their signature drink, also arrived an hour late after the rest of the drinks were served when ordering, all nasi were not available today, except for nasi seafood and two other bigger nasi meals… the waitress indeed told us it was only available when ordering in combos…? it wasn’t listed anywhere and we didn’t understand the meaning behind this since they do have all the separate ingredients, yet are unable prepare the listed dish? at least we had a fire show by Fire Hunter whilst our wait despite the long wait the food was ok, hence the two stars due to the inconvenience we got 5RM off our check…

overall: beware that kitchen is busy and bar probably is, too. so orders arrive slowly located outside, on the beach food is fine though might get a bit loud if you’re situated in the front/in left corner due to speakers blasting music for...

Santai Santai Cafe is a culinary gem! The Grilled Lamb Chops were tender and smoky, paired perfectly with crispy fries and a refreshing salad. The Fried Shrimp Tower stood out with its golden shrimp atop fragrant rice, while the Creamy Garlic Shrimp was rich and indulgent, full of garlicky goodness. These people running the restaurant are so kind and nice. We stayed at Hilton nearby and decided to check out the beach near this cafe and went there to have something to drink and eat, seeing the good reviews. While the Hilton experience was horrible (as usual) that day, these guys managed to make up the day for us. Since we didn't have cash, we were unsure how to pay them. They made sure we ate there and offered some other round about payment method, which worked ultimately. The prices are so reasonable for the view, the food, and service. The owner, Taufeeq, and another tall gentleman, were so nice and made sure we had a good dinner, though it started raining like crazy. The food came piping hot, they customized it as I requested, and the shakes were amazing. The place is also Halal and doesn't carry alcoholic beverages. Highly recommend.
