Absolutely Terrible Experience! If I could give zero stars, I would. The service at this place is shockingly slow, and the staff are beyond incompetent. The waiter couldn’t be bothered to write down my order, relying on his memory, only to forget it and come back multiple times to ask what I ordered. Why not just write it down the first time? But the worst part? I asked for my unfinished food to be packed for takeaway. Not only did they completely ignore that, but they threw my food away! How does that even happen? If the staff weren’t sure, why not confirm with me? Instead, I had to wait AN HOUR just to have the manager come and tell me my food was gone. This place has no communication, no efficiency, and no respect for customers’ time. Avoid it at all costs unless you enjoy frustration and terrible service. Reply : Policy? Are you serious? When my friend and I requested that the leftover food be packed to take away, only his order was packed, while mine was entirely overlooked. When I asked about this, I was met with an excuse about a “policy” that supposedly prevents taking food away. Are you serious? If that’s truly the case, why was my friend able to take his food? Instead of owning up to the mistake, you attempted to gaslight me by hiding behind this so called policy, which makes no sense whatsoever. This lack of accountability was extremely frustrating. What’s worse is that after escalating the matter, your manager offered to remake the food but only after I had already waited for an hour. Do you realize how inconvenient this was for me? I had a strict schedule and needed to be back at my hotel to complete work by 10 PM. Your manager only informed me at 9:48 PM that the food would be remade. By then, I was running out of time and had no choice but to leave. The delay, lack of communication and the overall mishandling of the situation left me feeling completely disrespected and upset. It’s not just about the food; it’s about the way your team handled the entire situation. A simple admission of fault and timely resolution could have gone a long way. Instead, I was left frustrated, hungry, and deeply dissatisfied. This experience has made me question whether your staff values their customers’ time and satisfaction at all. I truly hope your management reflects on this incident and takes steps to improve both your service and your communication with customers. This level of service is unacceptable and tarnishes your establishment’s reputation.

Food good, service not so good. We came here at lunchtime, just two of us. Walked in and there were no other customers, just two girls to serve. Sat down and was handed a menu, then she went outside and brought us back an electronic menu (with pictures) on an iPad. Then she went outside again and came back with a QR code and told us to order from that. We asked, “Can’t we just order from you?”. No. Must use the QR code. Please ask your manager, we said. She came back - “Manager says No - must use QR code”. I hate that level of ‘service’. Really hate it. Anyway, we did that….picked our own food from the paper menu, checked the pictures on the electronic menu, then ordered from the QR code. Didn’t work. “Order Failed - unable to connect to POS”. We called the girl back over. A look of confusion followed, then she took a photo of the error code with her phone, walked to her manager and got some advice. Apparently we *can* order directly from her after all. So we did. Food came quickly enough and was very good. Quite happy with it. Same with the Mango juice - perfect. Enjoyed our lunch and then asked for the bill. She went back outside, came back and presented the bill. “Cash or card?”, she asked. Card we said, so she went outside (again), got the card reader, came back in and presented it to us. Card Reader wasn’t happy - “Error - Card Failed!!!” Another look of confusion on her face followed. OK, we’ll just pay cash we said; so we all went outside to pay. Gave the guy the money, got the change and decided to count it. It was short RM1 (not a lot….but it’s the principle). We got our money back and said goodbye. For the last time. PS. 10% “service” charge…..despite it being a lot of self service. Maybe I should have asked for a share of that.

Back again to Levant by the Sea for the second time, as promised and once again, it was an incredible experience that I’ll definitely be taking back with me to London. Although Sam wasn’t around this time, the team remained just as committed, welcoming, and attentive as ever. Their consistency in service speaks volumes. This visit also brought an added highlight: we had the pleasure of meeting Adam, the CEO and founder, along with his son also named Adam. Adam generously treated me, my son, and our friend to beverages, and shared the inspiring story of how Levant came to be. His journey reflects deep integrity and a genuine customer first philosophy something many fast food chains tend to lose sight of. That personal connection made the experience all the more memorable. Now, let’s talk about the food especially the rice served with lamb. Absolutely exceptional. The flavours, texture, and presentation were spot on. (And for the record, my photos don’t do it justice!) The location remains a standout wheelchair accessible and perfectly positioned on the beach, making it ideal for those unforgettable sunset moments and the soothing sound of crashing waves. All in all, another solid 10/10. Levant by the Sea has truly become part of my story here, and it will no doubt feature in many conversations once I’m back in London. I’m already looking forward to one more visit before heading home!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at a stunning Middle Eastern restaurant nestled right by the beach, and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the last sip of our mint tea, everything was thoughtfully crafted to provide an unforgettable evening for our group of ten.

The ambiance of the restaurant struck a beautiful balance between elegance and comfort. With the sound of waves gently crashing in the background and a soft breeze drifting in from the sea, the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. The decor featured tasteful Middle Eastern elements—ornate lanterns, warm earthy tones, and traditional textiles—creating a cozy yet refined atmosphere. Whether you’re there for a casual lunch or a special dinner, the beachside location alone sets the tone for something memorable.

Now, let’s talk about the food—because that’s where this restaurant truly shines. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was a testament to culinary mastery. The grilled meats were absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly marinated and grilled to juicy perfection, each bite was rich with flavor, tender, and expertly seasoned. The lamb kebabs were a standout, bursting with smoky depth, while the chicken was succulent and infused with spices that sang with authenticity. Even the beef skewers, often a simple staple, were elevated with a subtle char and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

We also indulged in a variety of appetizers to share, from creamy hummus and smoky baba ghanoush to crisp falafel and freshly baked pita bread. Each item tasted homemade, full of bold, authentic flavors that spoke to traditional recipes and high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous, yet plated with care and elegance.

The staff deserves equal praise. From the host who warmly welcomed us, to the attentive waitstaff who ensured we were never without water, bread, or a fresh round of drinks, the service was truly top-tier. They managed our large group of ten effortlessly, making personalized recommendations and timing each course so the meal flowed seamlessly. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made us feel like honored guests, rather than just customers.

For dessert, we enjoyed a selection of Middle Eastern sweets—baklava, knafeh, and date-filled pastries—paired with rich Arabic coffee and fragrant mint tea. It was the perfect ending to a spectacular meal.

In summary, this beachside Middle Eastern restaurant delivered everything we could have hoped for and more. Incredible food, stunning views, warm and professional service—it was a complete experience that delighted all ten of us. Whether you’re a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or trying it for the first time, this spot is a must-visit. We will definitely be returning, and next time, we’ll be sure to stay for the sunset—it’s the only thing that could have made the evening even better.

Highly...
