Saw this in Feb on the way into the city, while on a day trip from Melaka. The Sultan Ismail Bridge is a bridge and one of the main vehicular entrances from Melaka into Muar and it's one busy bridge. It's supposed to be both a vehicle and pedestrian access bridge, but I couldn't see pedestrianised sections.
While not a beautiful, the bridge is an impressive great feat engineering as it spans almost 400m across the river. The bridge has been constructed on box girders to better withstand the torsion forces caused by the seasonal flooding in the city.
