Sultan Selangor is love by their people, he use to wear short pants singlet riding bicycle at pulau ketam, very close to the people and the people friendly greet him with call "Apek" grandfather... And the park next to the istana last time is old hospital, he used to pay visit these patient and found that is too pack, so he told his son to build a new hospital for the people if not he will turn his istana into the hospital.

One of three official Palaces of the Sultan of Selangor. Selangor Royal ceremonies are usually held here. It isn't open to the public. The Palace has a tiered garden in the front, facing Jalan Istana (Palace Street). On the adjacent hill across Jalan Istana is the compact tree filled park, Taman Bandar DiRaja Klang. At the other end of the Palace compound, sits the Sultan Suleiman Royal Mosque and the Sultan Suleiman Stadium.

The palace is very near to Galari Diraja sultan Abdul Aziz. About 10 minutes walking distance. Not able to get parking in front of the palace.
