90 Degrees Hair Salon — Attraction in Kuala Lumpur

Got to know this salon from Sheldan on Instagram reels and to be very frank, I made an appointment thinking that he will be the hairstylist.

However when I arrived, Dennis was the first to attend to me - with essential oil massage (and even asked about my preference for the intensity of massage, which I thought was very thoughtful. May, the hairstylist, which then came over to discuss about my hairstyle, was very professional and indeed a good listener to a customer's needs. Due to study/work constraints, I had quite a few "picky" requirements for my new hairstyle but May was very patient and recommended many different styles that she thinks suit me and my needs best.

Dennis was very gentle with the scalp and hair treatment and always warned me if it might hurt and constantly asked if I was okay with the water pressure (depends on your tolerance - but honestly it didn't hurt a single bit for me). Both May and Dennis were really great people to chat to - as an introvert I did not feel that our conversations were awkward at all! Overall a really positive experience and would definitely be back again - would recommend to anyone whos looking for a new hairstyle!

Went for a haircut and it is nothing as I requested. The services apart from haircut (the welcome massage, massage chair and skilled hair wash - shout out to the lady who served me) were nice but the hair just wasn't something I wanted. I wanted a haircut with higher layers but what I get was lower layers. The higher layer with give me a more voluminous hair but the lower layer will just make my hair looks like a lump at the bottom. I had the same haircut at else place and it was what I wanted so I know this is the hairstyle that I requested suits me well. I didn't realise it was different because my hair was curled afterwards, and I am short sighted so I couldn't really tell the difference. And I always trust my hairdresser cuz I believe they know what they are doing (esp when this one charge me RM109 so I'm expecting more) But it is truly disappointing as the more I look at my hair, the more dissatisfied I am, I hate how it looks on me. This haircut literally reminded me the one I got at the salon nearby my house with only Rm35.
