I brought up 3x to the dept manager about the service from Cashiers
B.I.G linc used to be a good place to get grocery even though their prices are more expensive than others. Previously, the cashiers were customer oriented, prompt and gracious. But until early or mid 2022, the outlet lost many of the old staff. And replaced with new staff including the chief or supervisor.
Ever since, the service is worst than those mid to low end grocery/supermarket.
They are NOT keen to pack for you and if they are asked to pack, they will just “chucked” or packed it roughly till eggs broken! Validating carpark - the chief cashier will ask us to go to carpark office to validate. She told us that the machine in BIG is not working anymore and it’s OFFLINE. When we went down to carpark office, they asked why didn’t BIG’s staff validate for us? When we informed them that we were informed that their machine is not working. And that’s the time, the truth prevails! The carpark office person told us “they lied! They are lazy and pushed all their customer to carpark office when it’s their job!”
Today I experienced the same, and when I questioned the woman cashier and she said “it’s offline” and supported by another staff! After so many times happened to us, I won’t believe anymore what she told us. I went extra miles to check internally if it’s true that the machine is not working? The truth is, ITS NOT TRUE. THEIR MACHINE IS WORKING AND IN FACT, THE GUARD HELPED ME TO VALIDATE!!
The point, no management staff cares what’s happening in the outlet. How can the management allows their senior staff to LIE to the customer merely because she or they are lazy?
Secondly, how can the management allows the senior staff to be so rude to the customer? No matter how unhappy with their bosses and it has nothing to do with us, the customers who paid premium grocers and get...
Read moreUsually my time here was enjoyable with the exception of today. At the checkout counter which was not even busy, the security guard was at a distance signaling for me to go to the customer service counter.
The issue was that I didn't notice, so this resulted in fellow customers telling me to go but I was confused because my turn was right after the current customer. It is like you're telling me to go away to cut into the line. Even when it was my turn the guy behind me pointed the customer service counter out to me which resulted in me raising my voice and then finally I pieced two and two together that the security guard was using sign language from a distance to get other men to tell me to go and pay at the customer service counter.
Which was weird because it wasn't even busy and if you're that keen on traffic management you should talk to the customers herself instead of sign languaging other customers to tell me to pay at the customer service counter.
Personally, the whole situation made me feel a bit harassed as if I wasn't meant to be paying at the...
Read moreI was at Ben’s this morning about 11:15am. It’s my first visit and I was here to drop a parcel at PosHub. I thought I should grab a quick takeaway lunch. It’s not busy and the Malay lady was looking at her phone when I arrived at the counter. No smile, nothing. It’s ok. I placed my order and waited for the buzzer to ring. I can’t help but noticed she was nice and friendly to the Malay lady customer after me. Strangely she got her takeaway first. So I moved nearer to the counter and the same staff kind of remembered my order now. She started to pack my salad. While the kitchen staff continues to fry some chicken not knowing there’s my order still in the queue. My chicken which just needs some warming up in the oven is probably too overcooked by now. By the time he saw my order, he packed everything and took my buzzer. He just left it on the counter without passing it to me or informing me that it’s mine. I must say I’m disgusted that the frontline staffs are so badly trained and unfriendly. Just too unprofessional and two faced. I’m definitely not...
