Definitely one of the best unlimited wagyu buffets in KL!
TASTE: The A5 wagyu here has that signature taste, but I'd say it's slightly above average – not the highest standard or most premium, but still really good. The marbling is nice, but not perfect. If you’re after solid, tasty wagyu, this place delivers. But if you want the absolute best, maybe consider other spots or upgrade to Set D (about RM1000 per person). The meat is juicy, tender, and melts in your mouth (though not literally). It doesn’t have a strong beefy smell, so it’s great even at medium rare. I suggest cooking it a bit more if you want to eat more without getting full too quickly. [8/10]
PRICE: For unlimited A5 wagyu at RM350 per person (Set B), it’s pretty affordable. You can upgrade to Set C or D for more premium cuts. To get your money’s worth, I recommend refilling at least 4 times. [7/10]
SAUCE: The sauce station is self-service but has limited options (less than 10). Still, each sauce has its own unique flavor. Honestly, wagyu is best enjoyed on its own with just a sprinkle of salt, so the limited sauces work fine. [8/10]
ICE CREAM: They serve Baskin-Robbins ice cream with 8 flavors available. It’s delicious and pairs well with the wagyu. One suggestion – labeling the ice cream flavors would be helpful. [7.5/10]
SERVICE: Some staff struggle with English and Malay, which makes communication tricky. The QR code refill system can be slow during peak hours, and wagyu refills require manually calling a waiter, which can take a while. Despite this, the staff are polite and helpful. [6/10]
GRILL: They use charcoal grills, which work well but occasionally give off a strong charcoal smell, even when not grilling. Better fan maintenance might help. [8/10]
OVERALL: I’d definitely recommend this place for the taste, ambiance, and overall...
Read moreThis was my second visit to Wanomiya. My first experience with my husband was wonderful, we celebrated his birthday, enjoyed excellent food (especially the meat), and the ambiance was great, Staff All friendly and good except for this one lady. Everything felt good
The problem happened on my second visit with my children and my friend with her three children, a total of five children and five adults. I had previously (in August) read that kids under six years old could eat for free, but this time I was told the rule had changed to kids below 90cm eat for free. I had to pay 50% for my son, even though he only ate a small portion (wagyu udon, two prawns, and cold water). It's ok 👌
Pls also note that, if u come in a big group, u cannot choose seperate Package. Everyone must take the same Menu. Even you are sitting in seperate table. For example, u choose Package C, the rest also have to choose Package C.
We enjoy eating, until it came time to pay. My 10-year-old daughter was charged as an adult because staff assumed she was above 12 due to her height. I asked them to correct the receipt, but that lady seemed unhappy about it. Just to give feedback here, If you want to check age, just ask for MyKid politely from the start, it's ok for me. Just don’t judge children based on appearance.
We visited because we genuinely wanted to enjoy good food together as a family not because we cannot afford it. But experiences like this leave a negative impression. I sincerely hope Wanomiya will handle children’s charges more transparently and fairly in the future.
Sharing here so that some of you can consider to bring your kids here. Other than that, the Wagyu worth your money. Definitely...
Read moreVisited the store today. Earlier, almost every table had staff bringing out birthday cakes and singing birthday songs. By the time all the celebrations had finished, I was getting some ice cream and quietly told a male staff member that we also had a birthday at our table. He clearly understood, so I went back to my seat to wait.
We waited at least 15 minutes, during which staff only came over to clear the table—no birthday arrangement at all. When we were about to pay, that same male staff made eye contact with me; I nodded, then he turned and chatted with his colleague. Thinking something was about to happen, I waited another 10 minutes, but still nothing.
When we finally went to the counter to pay, just after the card payment was done, two staff suddenly came over with a tiny slice of cake, holding a light board and singing a birthday song—by then, the birthday person had already left the store! We had been waiting at our table for so long, so why only come to us when we’re already paying? I immediately stopped them, as it no longer had any meaning. Who would want a birthday celebration when we’re already paying at the counter and the birthday person has left!? The surprise was completely meaningless.
Overall, the service was a huge disappointment. Poor coordination, lack of attention, and a total failure to make an important occasion special. 1 star for the terrible service, 4 stars for the wagyu, and 3 stars for the atmosphere due to poor exhaust...
