2nd time buying Cara Cara oranges in bags aka can't choose individually. The price seems good but this is the second time where 1 or 2 out of the bag is not Cara Cara. Cara Cara have pink flesh (Pic attached). The this is the 2nd bag which is why I decide to post. I have 2 more bags of Cara oranges. So pending more updates once I cut those in next day. Another personal experience was we were on the middle of the entry & I walked in via the cashier entrance. I have never in my personal experience, not once been an issue that it is so important where I enter a store. The cashier who have a long line of customers waiting, find it so important to address me instead of cashiering. He find it necessary to yell out to me & tell me I need to come back out & go all the way back to the other side to enter the grocery store. That was after I was way past & already inside the store. This is how I see it. It if is a MUST, put a sign up. Self check out was a bit messy. One line for a register would have been better organize for efficiency . Instead individual register individual line. So if you happen to be behind one with issues to anything you would be waiting for much longer than necessary. Grocery bags were not located by each register. They were far away to the side, away from 6 other registers & easy access or direct view from the registers (notice this at other grocery stores like Aeon as well). Which causes significant delays. It required the security guard/cashier help staff to grab bags to pass to the shoppers who needed to purchase bags for their grocery or shoppers to search for it. Then the bare code is in the fold of the bag which then required more lost/searching in paying processes. They could have streamline the self check out much better. The payment page was a bit confusing. There was 2 option after I press pay. Card & something else & definitely not e-wallet. So I opted to press the card which is for e-wallet as well. After I pressed the card options. If you are wondering when it says scan card. It would be also meant to scan your e-wallet QR code to pay. Again self figuring out. Another step that slow down the line.

This is Lotus's that located in Cheras, it is kinda similar to Walmart. It has two entrance, you can enter it from the residential area or turn in from the highway. They have many parking lots for car. Motorcycle parking spots are closer to the access points. For Electric Vehicle (EV), they also have three charging spots that is located near to the Subway, so keep an eye for it. There are four access points, where two locate near the entrance while the others are beneath the building. Do remember to grab a trolley before enter. In order to access to the second floor, you need to go to the middle part of the building and take the escalator. For foreigners, you can go to the money changer that located at the end of the pathway to exchange for Ringgit Malaysia. There are several pillars that installed price checkers for confirm the price. The products that they have sell are not only limited to foods and drinks but also, 1. Stationary 2. Toys and Sports Equipment 3. Kitchen Utensils 4. Electrical Equipment 5. Television 6. Home furnishings 7. Bakery 8. Chicken and Seafood 9. Bulk Purchase 10. Non Halal section that includes Wines and Porks There are two types of checkouts, the first one is the casher that help you finish your payment while the other one is the self service checkout that located near the entry point. For the self-service, there are two type of payment methods which are cards and QR code. From what I understand, you can also pay using your Touch N Go apps, just select the QR code and scan with your own code.

I had my worst customer service experience during the last visit in Lotus Cheras branch over the weekend. As a customer who’s a first time user for ‘scan and shop’, there’s limited info displayed at the counter (without any information on how to use the application/ to advise customer to download the app as it’s a different app from ‘Lotus’s Malaysia’ ). The worst part is when it’s my turn in the line, I’ve tried to ask the counter lady to assist but she replied in a rude manner and ask me to ask the customer behind me on how to use it and without being helpful and patiently guide customer on how to use the application. She’s being frustrated and rude to other customer in the line who doesn’t know how to use the app as well. And finally, after checking out, I asked for her staff ID and she throw her staff tag to me and ask me to report if I want to. This is unacceptable and unprofessional, hope your team will look into this sooner possible.

Dear Lotus Cheras,

I ordered a grab pickup this morning, I arrived 5 minutes earlier than the pick up time which is 11.33am.

upon arriving no one was at the counter. the entire place was a lobby for unloading items. dirty messy and humid. I had to wait for another 15-20mins before my order is ready for pickup.

After that 2 Malay lady staff came in with my orders. I proceeded to check the items. Below is my check list of items.

CP Tomyum popcorn 700g - RECEIVED 500gm instead( asked why such discrepancy. the ladies said its memang 500gm. tuliS salah

2.tyson crispy chicken 1kg - NOT in my pick up AT ALL. when asked why missing item , only THE THINNER LADY head back in to get it. not even a single sorry. afterwards THE FAT ONE told me item n/a. so then how? just go without my item? I had paid it already. WTH

3.nutriplus omega 3 eggs 15s - item was replaced and this is the only item that they asked me thru grab before I arrive.

4.oreo stuffx8 - all 8s was by default replaced to the cream-o without me knowing. come on, did I pay for my grocery or is this for free???? am I still a customer or u giving ouT for donation.

Lastly after my findings I asked them for a refund of the missing items. then gave me a blank stare with A RUDE ATTITUDE "CANCEL LA"? ask me to cancel order from my end. WTH. I wasted almost 50mins and this is what I get??

Where is the manager in charge???is this the level of service for a grab pick up customer?

1st you are behind schedule and no apology. ITS fine. Malaysian. 2nd. order ITEM was replaced according to your preference??? 3rd. missing 1 order item and no apology for your mistake after I found out? 4th. asked me to cancel order from my end when it is your item n/a? 5th item was falsely advertised from 700gm to 500gm?

should I go and check are those items are available since I am a customer??? what justification for me to waste more time in your store for doing your work???TO THE MANAGER IN STORE SERIOUSLY ARE TREATING ME AS CHARITY? NOBODY DESERVE SUCH A TREATMENT. LOTUS CHERAS YOU ARE BY FAR THE WORST...

I recently visited Lotus Cheras, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here are the key issues I encountered:

Store Condition The overall condition of the hypermarket is quite poor. The store appears run-down and poorly maintained, with visible signs of neglect. Shelves are disorganized, and many areas are cluttered with unsorted items, making it difficult to find what I was looking for.

Pricing Issues One of the most alarming issues was the discrepancy in pricing. Many items were marked with prices that did not match the amounts charged at the counter. This created confusion and frustration as I ended up paying more than expected. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they were dismissive and uncooperative, offering no solutions or apologies.

Customer Service The service at Lotus was extremely disappointing. Staff members were inattentive and unhelpful. Despite several attempts to ask for assistance, I was either ignored or met with indifferent attitudes. It was evident that customer service is not a priority at this location.

Checkout Experience The checkout process was frustratingly slow. With only a few counters open, long lines quickly formed, causing significant delays. To make matters worse, the staff at the checkout seemed disinterested and moved at a sluggish pace, further exacerbating the wait time.

Overall Impression In summary, my experience at Lotus Hypermarket Cheras was highly unsatisfactory. The combination of a poorly maintained store, inattentive staff, slow service, and misleading pricing made for an unpleasant shopping trip. I would not recommend this hypermarket to anyone until significant improvements are made. There are many other stores that offer better service, accurate pricing, and a more pleasant shopping...
