Minsu Ekocheras — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

This apartment hotel is situated within Ekocheras Mall. What amazing facilities. On the roof is a whome suite of leisure facilities, gym sauna various hot tubs and a swimming pool. Also lounge area with sunbeds and jacuzzi. There us a walkway between Blocks H & J with glass floor panels that provide an amazing view over the city. Buildings are patrolled by 24 hr security and you need a swipe card to enter them and use the elevators. On the lower ground floor, you can then access multiple shops including food hall and bars. Within the apartment itself, it is very spacious with mezzanine floor where the main sleeping area is. Downstairs is kitchen with hob, kettle, microwave, fridge and any crockery cutlery utensils you require. There is a sofa bed and dining table. All you need! Oh and a washer/drier. Location was perfect also, easy access to train line but there us a pick up drop off point just outside which yoy can make use of multiple taxi car apps (bolt, grab etc) thus worked out to be the cheapest way to get around quickly. Traffic can be very bad thoygh, so give yourself time to get anywhere. A short car ride to chinatown provided much more shoppi g eatibg etc. For iur first visit to KL, ut was brilliant, and i will stay hete again when i visit in the future. Amazing views, great facilities, safe and secure with very helpful people! To check-in we got in touch with the property on whatsapp and this provided us the detail for entry, then it was just a drop box to check out! Check-In: The check-in process was a nightmare. As a first-time visitor, how was I supposed to know where the G15 pillar is? Worse yet, when we finally located the letterbox, the access card to the unit was missing. The person in charge had the audacity to say, "There should be a card; my staff already put it in this afternoon." Instead of verifying with their staff, they blamed them and did nothing to resolve the situation, leaving us stranded and waiting for the cards to be placed in letterbox.

The Unit: The unit was a disaster. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The place was filthy, and none of the facilities were maintained. It was nothing like what was advertised. Issues included: No working WiFi. Broken shelves hanging dangerously over the mattress. Dim and depressing lighting. Dirty mattress. Sticky, dirty floors. stained, disgusting sofa. broken chairs that was a hazard to anyone, especially the elderly. We had to move it aside to prevent accidents. broken cabinet.

Check-Out: The checkout time was supposed to be 12 PM. When we returned from breakfast at 11:25 AM, we found a cleaning trolley outside our unit. To our shock, a staff member emerged from the unit and apologized, claiming she didn’t know we hadn’t checked out yet. This level of incompetence is unacceptable.

We absolutely did not deserve this...

The location is good and convenient if you want to buy some groceries. I had booked for three days two nights. But the first day when we checked in, one of the air con was not functioning well, with hot wind, tried few times and reset the air con still not functioning well. Some more the air con direction was facing the sleeping area, totally cannot feel the air. And the unit doesn’t have fan, the whole unit only supports with one air con. Understand that after working hour the technician was off, but isn’t need to check well before passed it on to another customer? And also the hair dryer is spoiled too. Although the customer service was replying but it doesn’t get help at all to solve my problem. And we had 4 ladies 1 male booking the units, all long hair without the hair dryer, and no fan in the unit, we wait until 1am to dry up the hair. This accommodation doesn’t give any compensation about the air con and hair dryer not functioning well, just a apologies message for improvement. Conclusion, cleanliness not bad, customer service replied. For those who wish to take this accommodation just need to ask the customer service to make sure EVERYTHING is functioning well, and we will not taking this anymore. Experience...
