NO. 21 Salon — Attraction in Kuala Lumpur

It will be so boring if I were to say "I'm not the type of person leaving review" but in deed I'm not that type.

However, I can tell you that I am extremely picky when it comes to nails & hair saloon.

I have been using one saloon in Korea for almost 10 years after going through multiple shops and failure. Same goes for KL, I have gone through at least 5 saloon where 2 of them messed up my hair to the point I couldn't even go out.

I have tried Korean saloon, Japanese Saloon and Local.

Price comparison, quality comparision, product comparison, customer service quality, you name it , i have compared them all.

By far, I have two most selected Saloon excluding those ridiculously expensive place to a point you feel like you pay iphone price for your hair.

Frankly speaking, in a hot humid country like this, not unless you are RICH, it's pointless and hard to maintain your hair.

So here goes

I would recommend No21 more because she listens to your needs, she recommends exactly what is needed for your hair and the current situation for your hair, and slightly cheaper than No76.

And it's way easier to book 21 over 76. I love both of the places. It's a fail safe, fun to explore with what you can play around with your hair with safe...

First visit and also my last one, terrible experience. An aging uncle hairstylist served me, I felt uncomfortable at first as he full of cigarette smell (I can smell it badly when he cut/trim my hair with his hands). he trim my almost waist-length hair without using much clips/ session trimming, quickly done within 15 minutes. cut shorter than I asked for, where I don't even have chance to voice out due to his "efficiency" (where I trim at many saloons before they trim at different layer/ session, not cutting one shot like him)

The most disappointing part is.. the PIC felt my disappointment and asked for my feedback : I just gently advise maybe his smoking hairstylist can wash his hand before serving customer ( PIC said that's normal many hairstylist smokes) , and I said he cut too quick in 15 mins and "unprofessional as my normal hair trimming experience"(the PIC said : aww that's normal different hair stylist got different skill) well, end up he offered he can help me trim my hair if I not satisfied, I not dare to risk my hair at this saloon anymore.

I felt the Person In Charge don't think there is any problem with my feedback, then what's the point of asking me? if there is a sincere apologies from bottom of his heart, I don't think this bad review...

If possible I will choose a zero rating. First time visit based on the good reviews but it’s worse experience ever and super disappointed and will never ever return to this salon. The money spent is totally not worth at all! I hope the owner read this review and do something!

An uncle assigned to be my stylist, I think he just spent 5-10min to trim my hair. Without many sections and no measurements. He just pull big amount of hair and trim, I kind feel like the scissors is not sharp at all, coz I have the hair pulling feeling. After the hair cut he don’t even check and measure the length between both sides, don’t even show me the after until I kept checking the length and balances in front of him.

During the hair wash, the lady using nails to scratch my scalp until I told her to stop. After the hair wash, uncle blow dry and use straightener try to curl my fringe but honestly I think I can do better. I look like 40’s after the styling. A friend look at me ask me what’s wrong...
