Plenty of positive things have been written about this museum, and my review only adds to these. The museum is housed in a beautiful building with the addition of original traditional, historic houses that have been painstakingly reinstalled in the grounds and which are also open to view. I went on a Friday afternoon and found that that the museum closes from 1.00 to 2.45 pm. Luckily for me, Gateway mall seremban is right across and I could spend some time there before coming back. The museum is completely free of cost and the museum staff are very friendly. The displays have been arranged with care and there's plenty of information to go over. Nearly all the history exhibits have English descriptions. There's an upstairs section where art work of upcoming artists is displayed. Besides, there are some other cultural artifacts to view as well. If you're a History buff and like visiting museums, please make this little treasure a must visit on your itinerary. The museum can certainly do with more appreciation.

Muzium incharge officer was kind enough to give explanation on the muzium lay out and buildings. ( Even posed for a picture with my Sister in Law .....Thank you˜) Had a good time inside the display areas. Would like to suggest one improvement item though : - Entrance door up the wooden stair to model Rumah Negeri Semblian is a bit small and there is a sharp edge on top. - This caused my head to scrath on the sharp edge ( Luckily no blood involved..haha ) - Suggest to install head protection hard sponge to avoid may be old people from hitting their head and causing injury. ** Also put a stop to the water leak at the Toilet External Water Tank.....Muzium can save on water bill ....every cent counts right. Thanks

I love museums so of course i give this place a high rating. However I have been to museums around the world including Egypt and Britain and I have to say, Malaysia's museums are highly lacking in the artifacts on display. Perhaps because our houses are wooden so they don't make the test of time? Or perhaps Malaysia is a young country and the people lived simply? Loved going thru the wooden houses though even tho they were empty. Took us 15 minutes to go through the whole exhibit before we went to Abdullah Chan next door.

Muzium Negeri Sembilan Review:

🏛️ Exhibition: Exhibits showcase the evolution of Negeri Sembilan from its ancient origins to modern times. The museum's collection includes artifacts, photographs, and documents that provide insight into the state's historical milestones, traditions, and way of life. Information on History of Negeri Sembilan can be found in 1st a Floor, while History of Each Luak can be found in 2nd Floor.

🏰 Istana Ampang Tinggi and Rumah Contoh Negeri Sembilan: Istana Ampang Tinggi, a highlight of the museum, is a magnificent example of traditional Malay architecture. Built in the early 20th century, the palace features exquisite craftsmanship, with intricate carvings and ornate details adorning its structure. The palace's layout reflects the traditional Malay architectural principles, with raised floors, steep roofs, and ample ventilation to withstand the tropical climate. Visitors can explore the palace's interior, which is furnished with period-appropriate decor, offering a glimpse into the royal lifestyle of Negeri Sembilan's past...
