To MARDI, please conduct regular inspections for the petting zoo or animal areas, provide treatments for those sick animals, enough clean water at all time, and conduct training for staff handling the animals. Because I've been there twice and the agrotech park is definitely getting worse in terms of animal welfare and the ambience itself.
🅿🅰🆁🅺🅸🅽🅶 - agak susah nak dapat, perlu tunggu dan pusing beberapa kali sebelum dapat parking. free parking. 🅴🅽🆃🆁🅰🅽🅲🅴 🅵🅴🅴 - need to pay small amount of fee. 🅰🅼🅱🅸🅴🅽🅲🅴 - pleasant, but i like it better the last time i went. 🅿🅻🅰🅽🆃🆂 - quite okay, the price is definitely cheaper compared to other seller. tapi bahagian bunga, banyak yang kering, ada yang mati. first time saya visit dulu, pokok semua hidup elok dan cantik. 🅺🅸🅻🅰🅽🅶 🆃🅴🅷 - harga okay. sedikit hambar tapi masih memadai. maybe boleh improve dari segi susunan produk dan suasana kedai. 🆁🅰🅱🅱🅸🆃🆂 - cute rabbits. but THOSE RABBITS ARE SICK. I paid RM 2 to enter and pet the rabbit, they gave us some green leaves, or maybe grasses? i picked up few of them and found one with his mouth bleeding, many of them with ringworm on their ears, eyes & feet? AND WE PET SICK ANIMALS? especially the small children who pet the rabbits, it's concerning. What is the RM 2 fee for? It was supposed to be use as additional fund (aside from MARDI allocation) to treat these rabbits. The staff only sit at the entrance counter collecting fees and opening the gate. THERE'S NO ENOUGH CLEAN WATER FOR THE RABBITS. they use the hamster-like water bottle which is not good for rabbits (at this point of my visit i am dissapointed in MARDI for abondoning animals' welfare). PLEASE PROVIDE THEM ADEQUATE MEDICINE AND TREATMENTS. HIRE STAFF THAT ARE ACTUALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND CARE FOR THE WELFARE OF THESE RABBITS. not just some people sitting collecting fees. 🅳🅴🅴🆁 - There's about 4-5 deers. SMALL ENCLOSURE. I dont see any clean water for them. AT LEAST PROVIDE THEM WITH CLEAN WATER ALL THE TIME. 🅱🆄🆃🆃🅴🆁🅵🅻🅸🅴🆂 - Friendly and small butterflies, they greet me by resting on my fingers and clothes :) Broken wings, some of them are dead being stepped on the floor. It's heartbreaking to see them profit off from the animals. MARDI, please put a knowledgeable staff there to monitor, explain to visitors on types of butterflies and avoid people being mean to the butterflies.

Read moreI visited the Agro Technology Park Mardi Cameron Highlands with my friends and we had a wonderful time. The park is a beautiful place to see various flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables that grow in the highlands. The park is divided into six main areas: the English Garden, Herb Garden, Orchid Garden, Rose Garden, research centre and an information centre. We enjoyed walking around the gardens and admiring the colourful and fragrant flowers. We saw roses, orchids, anthuriums, gerberas, carnations and many more. We also learned about the different herbs and their uses in cooking and medicine. We saw mint, basil, rosemary, thyme and many more. We also visited the crop houses and plant nurseries where we saw strawberries, citrus fruits, apples, pears and persimmons. We tasted some of the fresh fruits and they were sweet and juicy. We also bought some souvenirs and products from the information centre and sales centre. They had potted plants, cut flowers, jams, teas, juices and other processed agriculture products. The staff were friendly and helpful. They explained some of the exhibits to us and answered our questions. They also followed the SOPs for Covid-19 prevention, such as wearing masks, sanitizing their hands and checking temperatures. The Agro Technology Park Mardi Cameron Highlands is a must-visit attraction for anyone who loves nature and agriculture. It's a great place to learn, explore...
Read moreOk, I appreciate agriculture so I like this place. It had an entrance fee of 10 ringgit for an adult foreigner. Bathrooms usable. Basically I think it is supposed to show all the local types of plant and animal products, but obviously needs more funding judging by the closed or rundown portions. The petting zoo is rabbits and children can feed them for a couple ringgit. There was a pigeon enclosure but only 2 pigeons and they were hard to see. Lots of flowers done in pretty gardens, an interesting but unlabeled orchid house. The giant fuchsia called Datura and the arbors of lady slipper orchids are outstanding. Not many plants are labeled but if you are a gardener you'll spot herbs everywhere and recognize familiar plants and veggies. You can see how strawberries are grown and see a miniature tea plantation. There is a tea house next to the (closed) tea processing plant. Also jungle trails I wouldn't attempt unless wearing nonslip shoes. There are plants for sale-wish I could take orchids back on the plane! Vote line if you're still reading: good kid trip ( try to potty them first!) If you want lots of space to walk around. And also nice garden...
