Still among the nicest and most accessible beach (its 10 min from town) in Kuantan and probably among the best for visitors along the East Coast for some R&R. The stretch of golden sandy beach are popular among locals and foreigners alike and there are a lot of shops nearby to satisfy your needs. The area can be packed and jammed during weekends and public holidays, but other times its serene and without crowds. The nearby Hyatt Kuantan is available for those wanting a more up-class stay and dining experience, with direct access to the beach from the hotel. The only issue at times can be parking during peak seasons. For the nature lovers, take a walk along the walkway round the rocky cove to the other hidden bay and enjoy the nature present, just beware of the many wild monkeys there that may target your food. If you are an early bird try reaching there before sunset for a magnificent view, else you can sit at McD or Starbucks for some light meal or go for a swim at the beautiful South China Sea.

Attractions: 5/5 Crowds: 4/5 (during peaks can be bad) Parking: 3/5 (worst during weekends and public holidays) Food:...

An enchanting nighttime visit to Teluk Chempedak presented a serene escape after a delightful dinner at Restoran Ana Ikan Bakar Petai. The beach’s tranquil beauty, marked by its gentle breeze and calming ambiance, offered a refreshing stroll, ideal for settling post-dinner indigestion.

While the nighttime atmosphere was serene, limited streetlights affected visibility, recommending a daytime visit to truly appreciate the picturesque scenery and breathtaking views this beach offers under the sun.

What stood out were the numerous coffee shops nearby, perfect for gathering with loved ones. Moreover, the presence of popular eateries like McDonald’s, Starbucks, KFC, Subway, and others added convenience and variety to dining options, catering to diverse preferences.

Teluk Chempedak is a charming destination, offering a serene respite and a variety of dining choices. For the full experience and to capture the stunning views, a daytime visit is recommended, ensuring a delightful outing for both relaxation and diverse...

Went on 645am on weekday, crowd around <5%, Parking free, till 8am, quite near and easy. Important to note that this is a sunrise beach and NOT a sunset beach as it is facing east towards the south china sea. The first day we arrived just to realise that the sun was setting in the opposite direction to where the beach was facing. We did some walking to the side of the beach where there's a bridge connecting to another nearby beach. There were monkeys there too, so need to be careful. And so we decided to revisit the beach next morning. The sky was pink at 645am when we reached. We managed to see the golden sun majestically ascending from the sealine into clear blue sky. It rained the night before, so there were still clouds that blocked the sun's view. The waves here are slightly stronger than the waves on the west coast beaches, but probably not enough for surfing i think. We just came for the view and left at 8am. There's a place to wash feet right outside McD facing the beach. There are stores nearby to get food eg MacDonald's, Starbucks. Fun fact, this is the first starbucks in malaysia by the beach (credit: Mr Wayne) My experience overall 10/10, definitely will revisit this place if in Kuantan
