Italian Bistro — Restaurant in Pahang

Was planning my proposal for quite some time now. Really cracking my head until I realized I was in Kuantan and had endless supply of beautiful beaches 🤣 Still wanted the proposal to go on perfectly. Had to be a surprise also. Did some searching and saw the advertisement on Italian Bistro's Romantic Dinner. Msgd Mr Harie and he had been nothing short of helpful, creative and supportive. Was extremely helpful in answering all my questions, doubts and requests. Being a vegetarian, was never that easy to find food everywhere but I am super grateful to the staffs of Italian Bistro to have accomodated my requests apart from other dietary requests. As it was a proposal I wanted something romantic and personal and was offered the outdoor table which really blew my mind. Was a little disappointed as due to the weather (monsoon season) I was given the indoor table. To my surprise however, Mr Harie was still trying to make my special night the best one. He managed to get me the outdoor table when the weather was more kind and smoothly came to me and asked me to check my phone 🤣 Communicated with him and he managed to find me a short window of about 10minutes where i not only managed to have my desert but I was able to propose to my gf as I initially planned. Staffs were also so supportive with helping to take videos and pictures. As soon as it was done, it started raining. Was perfect, timing was simply perfect. Everyone starting from the booking till the very end was simply perfect and extremely accomodating.

Food was good, really enjoyed it. Especially the Primi Piatti. One of the better multicourse meals I have had in Kuantan. Very polite staffs, making me feel right at home. Also extremely grateful to evryone for helping accomodate to my balloon and flower delivery to be arranged at my table.

Service was great. The environment was cool, too. Sea breeze, sea view. It doesn't get any better than this.

But if you are here for the food, reconsider your options. There are McDonald's, KFC, 7-11, Family Mart, and Loteng. More options as you walk along the beach. Look through the Google Review and you will see one particular review dissing the food. Believe the man. He is right to be disappointed because we were disappointed too. For a place located in Hyatt, RECOMMENDED by Hyatt reception when I checked-in, I had high expectations. Lamb shank was alright but everything else was questionable. Forget authentic, it was "meh". We were not satisfied after the meal. Not even in the mood for dessert. Because the spaghetti was not up to standard, we don't believe the dessert was worth it. Speaking of spaghetti, it was semi-raw. Fully cooked spaghetti doesn't have that solid crunch in the middle. Last I had a spaghetti like this, it was from a microwaved meal. The conclusion we had upon leaving after the meal was "should have gone to Mekdi instead".

The experience itself was not a waste of money. But the food was definitely a waste of our lives. Again, don't go...

If dining near the beach side is the thing for you, you will get what you bargained for. Dine at night by the breeze of the sea while you enjoy your glass of wine. Choose your selection of food, while pairing with the finest wine they have to offer and you will feel amazed by the pairing.

Great spot for a getaway, or even a date. May even decide to spend quality time with your significant other, or even propose a marriage date. Or even have a birthday party, some may have friends over timely. These are some of the examples that are best suited for your meet and greet means, but lets not stop there. You'll find it a great place for your friends and family to fare.

Sure they may have some hiccups, but it rarely happens, can't blame the staff when its a busy full house moment. So pick a right day and time, for this comment can only mean so much to...
