Columbus Romantic Dinner Cancun — Attraction in Cancún

Our Columbus lobster dinner cruise was excellent. We were treated at our hotel by a friendly driver. Driven from our hotel near Tulum to the boat location in Cancun. The drive was relaxing and comfortable.

Arriving at the location we experienced a few minor niggles with the booking but the staff organised and resolved the issues without too much drama. And then we waited for the captain.

The boat was docked within sight from snack bar we were located. It seemed smaller than I expected, however it was gallant, beautiful and perfect for the trip. Were we greeted again, this time by the crew of the shop and thee captain. And we boarded the shop, with photographs taken on entry to the boat. A nice little touch.

The boat was beautifully kept. Clean, stylist yet rugged for the seas. The crew were introduced by the captain and everything was explained for the duration of the trip. The captain was carismatic but yet charming & polite. He added a level of excellence throughout the trip. And all of the staff including the saxophonist, were very attentive to the passengers.

The bar on board was just right, great service, great drinks included in the trip. And the food well...

The food was unbelievable. We had steak mains, and they were cooked to perfection for us. I like mine a perfect medium, however my good lady wife prefers well done. And we both had the steaks cooked to perfection. The accompanying vegetables potatoes etc, were divine. The deserts were also simply exquisite. So much so, that a hefty tip was given direct to the chef, as he could not have performed his task any better.

The photographer was polite and respectful to our evening, and provided exclusive photographs for each couple. They were worth the money for sure. Lifetime memories of our trip!

The views experienced from the boat, and atmosphere was calm, beautiful and amazing. The setting sun and sunset, are simply charming and beautiful. Perfect intimate setting for everyone to enjoy, and although the boat was fairly small, it didn't seem as if people falling over each other. There was enough separation available to enjoy the location, the sunset, the athmosphere. All of which was enhanced by the beautiful saxophone sounds and the lapping of the waves.

Couldn't have been a better experience, and we requested a token photograph of the full crew at the end of the evening, to keep as a lasting memory, of our cruise sunset experience. Perfect...

Should be minus -5 stars. Public Relations and cruise Very Very Poor! WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD FROM A COMPANY! We booked a sunset cruise for June 6 2016. Tropical storm hit Cancun. Lightening, wind, tons of rain. We asked to cancel before we went. Felt unsafe with lightening and storm. NO CANCEL NO REFUND. They said we could reschedule, but it was our last available night in Cancun. With No Refund, must go to get anything. They assured us it would be ok. IT WAS HORRIBLE! The boat leaked like a sieve. Those that went had to remain below decks. Food was lousy because of having to cook in the storm. The steaks are NOTHING like the pictures. They are 1/4" to 1/2" thick and were way over cooked. Lobster was over cooked and tough. Veggies were cold. Baked potato was good but needed some butter. We had to bail water with our drink glasses. Water was dripping on our table from the ceiling and running down the walls and all over. No Dancing. No Sunset. The crew did the best they could in a difficult situation. They kept trying to give us alcohol to forget the miserable experience. ZERO CONSIDERATION FROM COMPANY FOR THE BAD EXPERIENCE. Their excuse, you "CHOSE" to go. Very poor customer service from company in difficult situation. They say, "can not control the weather". They can control the water safety of the boat and the experience. NOT Good business people. Recommend you find another way to have a nice dinner. NOT...

Outstanding!! My wife and I both felt that this was the BEST of the four excursions/tours that we booked on our 7-day visit to Cancun, (June 2-8, 2019)!!

The food was fresh and very delicious, ( we both ordered the "Surf and Turf" dinner selection), the staff/crew were all very pleasant, cordial, and attentive, Sergio, the host for the evening, was top-notch, the ship was very beautiful, and it all helped capture the entire romantic ambiance!! This was the PERFECT way to cap off our visit to Cancun!!

Our other excursions that we had booked that week, had various issues/problems, from feeling rushed, shortened time spans on site visits, to "sales pitches" for related products/ items while en route to various destinations, to poor communication skills, almost "scolding" demeanors, and poor English translations, (70-75% Spanish to 25-30% English, and yes, we realized that we were in a foreign country, but when you requested an English speaking guide, you would think it would be closer to a 50-50% ratio!!). THIS excursion, The Columbus Lobster Dinner Cruise, however, was PERFECT, they provided excellent service and absolutely NONE of the issues or problems that I mentioned above!!! GREAT, GREAT, GREAT experience!!!!

When visiting Cancun, (couples especially!), The Columbus Lobster Dinner Cruise is a definite "Do Not Miss" event!! 5-Star all the way, and a memorable romantic...
