Gym was a cute novelty. We had a lot of fun trying it out for the day. Prices, 15 usd for the day per person. High but not outrageous. We bought two souvenir tank tops at 30 usd each, creepin up on outrageous. All in all a 90 minute workout with tanks and two bottles of water $100.00 usd. So, here's where it goes down hill. My pregnant wife tried her tank on, after we got back to our place and after she showered. It was too small and she's only gonna get bigger as pregnancy progresses. We went back in on Sunday ( our workout and purchase was friday.) And told the two ladies at the front desk we wanted to exchange for a larger size. We were then accused of wearing the tank and shrinking it. We were told no refunds, we only came to exchange. Now we get told no exchanges. Then she tells us it's not like the states we can't just expect things. I told her we don't live in the states. She says " I don't care." This is when I walked out to avoid any unpleasantness. My wife stayed and was eventually given an exchange, which was more wrinkled than the original. And she was told that here in Mexico not to expect good customer service. We are not rookie travelers, I hardly ever leave negative reviews. But the way this handled, was wrong, rude, borderline offensive. Maybe I caught them on a bad day idk. 🤔

Edit made later same day. The owner reached out to me very quickly about this issue. We got our tank exchanged, that was our purpose of second visit. Any business with an owner that cares this much is doing something right. Our first visit was an enjoyable experience, and I stand by what was said. All is good. Service work is tricky. Do yourself a favor, enjoy a workout and a very unique experience. Be blessed 🙏🏽 and...

Sorry totally Original concept all of the equipment is handmade of wood, but $80 monthly for a gym membership that is opened 6 days a week is waaaayyyy overpriced for mexico …. Not even in the states is it $80 a month unless you are a member at equinox and that’s about $170 since its soooo boujee but this gym is the one on Avenida tulum in center of town… I go to the coffee house next door all the time and no wonder it’s always empty $80 a month is Uber expensive for tulum it’s way under developed here and I don’t think there is enough traffic like a playa del Carmen or Cancun sad to say it’s different type of tourism here more backpackers to be able to sustain a gym like this maybe once the town grows more and they build the tulum airport and the major train that’s coming but that isn’t for awhile, as a business person better to charge less and always have it occupied then empty in my opinion…

well the owner didn’t like that we were honest and said “we skipped it” he didn’t understand what we meant is “we skipped paying $80 a month because of the way we treated at the front desk when entering inside and checking things out for $80 membership is a valid reason to say it’s “overpriced” is why chose not to NOT PAY in addition we heard people in the front that they actually charge people to take pictures just for “Instagram” which is not what we wanted to do we wanted to work out— a gym tour isn’t even provided which is something every standard a gym always Gives any visitor so you see what you are purchasing and why…is this a gym or a photographer studio for “Instagrammers” ?!? I’m confused—-SMH—- glad we didn’t purchase a overpriced membership to such snobs...

Really fun gym with huge novelty value in the wooden and stone equipment. They've got beautifully carved benches, a leg press and hack squat machine made out of wood, and one of the benches is loaded with a bamboo pole and nets holding stone weights. The squat racks are annoying as the pins are fixed close to each other so something to keep in mind when racking and unracking when squatting heavy. In all, the gym is built for bodybuilders (rather than Oly or powerlifting) but if you want to workout and play with some fun equipment while in tulum, this is a great place to do it. Staff are friendly and helpful, showers are clean, and they have filtered water you can help yourself to. Plus protein drinks and snacks you can purchase. There's a cold plunge/ ice bath if you fancy using it. Not complementary for anabolism or hypertrophy but again.. great...

This place is awesome! When you arrive, first thing you’ll notice is that the front desk staff is super friendly. You’ll also notice the cats and dogs everywhere. They contribute a portion of their merch sales to homeless animals which is cool. The gym is very well maintained. I went for 3 days while in Tulum and always saw a guy floating around who I presume was there in the event any of the equipment broke. Despite the fact that the equipment is fabricated partially with some wood and stones and bamboo, it really is quite smooth. It doesn’t function like Hammer or Arsenal, but it does really well overall. The bathrooms are super clean, the mirrors are all super clean. I really can’t say enough good things about the place. Make sure to take towels if you sweat like me because the blazing Tulum heat will have you melting mid workout. This place is great!

I absolutely loved my experience at Tulum Jungle Gym and Sauna—this is by far my favorite gym. The owner is clearly committed to continuously investing in new equipment and keeping the space well-maintained, which I deeply appreciate. The addition of the new sauna and ice bath has been such a bonus, and I love starting my mornings with this daily ritual. I’ve been a regular customer over the past four years of living in Tulum, and I’ve always loved the gym’s amenities, top-notch equipment, and the unique jungle vibe. The friendly cats and welcoming staff make it feel like home. Prices are more than fair for a monthly membership. Thank you for creating such an inspiring space!
