My family and I had the pleasure of participating in a New Years Eve event with Highly Catered. The menu was awesome but admittedly we did not know or realize most of the good stuff would be infused. I only saw the delicious menu of Jerk lamb chops, lobster mac, oxtail jollof, suya shrimp and it was a go. I was nervous and unsure about the infusion because we were in public in a country we have never been in with people we never met.. So to be high added another layer of what could go wrong. We went ahead and went forward and everything was fine..just very relaxed and we made it home safely. But the food! OMG it was amazing! Absolutely delicious and the best food we had in Tulum altogether. And truthfully it didnt need to be infused to be fire. It was just very well seasoned to perfection and delicious by it self. I only hate that I couldnt eat more. The infusion kept us from eating as much as we would have liked because with each bite, it was another dose and we had to leave the next morning on a bus. But the entire experience was great and highly recommended. My only suggestion is to either place infused sign more prominantly on the flyer because some people cant have cannibis in their system for work and they need to understand BEFORE they pay what will or will not be. Buyer beware, please read full review and decide if chef gee’s culinary experience is worth $150. I bought a ticket for the blunt n brunch event for my milestone birthday, but received email 5hours 19minutes before start of event informing me that it was canceled. Goldie or “chef gee” said a refund would be sent within 5-7 business, which I have not received, today marked the 8th business day. I received the message yesterday from Goldie stating that she was “unable to send me the refund as PayPal has put a lock on my order” and I would have to “resolve the dispute” before she can offer refund. After speaking to PayPal customer service, both via phone call and chat, I was informed that there’s no lock/block of any kind, and in fact Goldie had declined to pay the refund. They advised not to close the dispute, because once the dispute is closed it cannot be reopened, and also I would not be eligible for refund if/when Goldie declines to pay the refund again. They said for my best interest, I should escalate the dispute. Not sure why one would offer a full refund, only to renege on paying said refund, completely UNPROFESSIONAL, SHADY BUSINESS.
