We just stayed at Villa Pescadores for a long weekend, and had an absolutely wonderful time. I can, without hesitation, recommend this hotel, and hope to go back soon! Communication with the hotel was excellent from the get-go, and they connect with you on WhatsApp (if you have it, of course) prior to arrival which makes it very easy to have travel questions, room service, activity recommendation, and transportation questions answered quickly and remotely without having to call. With only 22 villas at the resort, the atmosphere is wonderfully calm and relaxing. The rooms are very well-appointed (spring for the Deluxe King rooms with a balcony if you can!) and room service keeps them up every day. The bath products are really, amazing, and they provide their own bug repellent in the bathroom in your room, as well as bath and pool towels, and very nice bath robes. The beds are super comfy, and loaded with pillows. The rooms also have refrigerators for storage of food and beverages. Breakfast on the beach each morning is one of the highlights of the trip, and the food is absolutely delicious. Each day there’s a decidedly Mexican option available, as well as a more American/European (scrambled eggs, omelette, etc.) option. Each morning we were provided with a fruit plate or pancake starter option in addition to the main breakfast entrée. The thing that really makes this hotel shine, other than its stunning location (make sure to check out snorkeling with the sea turtles which departs immediately next to the hotel!) is the amazing staff. They are all very kind, and hard-working to make your stay comfortable. A note about park entry: the villas are located within a national park, which makes things a bit stranger than they need to be. No reusable plastic or alcohol is permitted, and they do search bags/cars periodically, so you have to be a bit creative with regard to those two items. If you enter between about 9 a.m.-6 p.m. you ALSO have to pay an entry fee to the park, even though you’re a hotel guest. It’s 60MXN, and the hotel will reimburse you for it once. Transportation into town is a nightmare of over-priced taxis (25USD each way) as they have successfully made Uber illegal. If you can, try to find a private driver prior to your arrival to keep costs down. Also, if you arrive at the new TQO airport, be aware of the insane taxi prices, which can be up to 210USD one-way (yes, you read that right). We took the ADO bus, which was 7.50USD one-way into Tulum Centro, and then a taxi to the hotel for 400MXN. Considering there were three of us, that saved a ton of money. We found a private driver for the trip back to the airport direct from the hotel for 800MXN, which was nearly the same price as it would have been to take a taxi into Tulum Centro and then the ADO bus to the airport.

Wow wow wow! We had a wonderful visit here at Villa Pescadores! We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tulum. Quiet area: This hotel is one of the last hotels on North Beach, so it's quiet and isolated. The hotel only has 18 rooms, but they are expanding so they will have a few more rooms/bungalows next year. Warmly welcomed: We were warmly welcomed by Raquel the hotel manager. Check in was easy peasy, we received welcome drinks, printed information about restaurant times, house keeping etc. Although it is not. 5 star hotel, I think it was THE NICEST 3 star hotel ever! Sure, they don't have a pool or spa. But you have the beach to swim (no seaweed when we went) and you can get a massage from one of the passerbys offering massages. So problem solved. Good communication: A nice feature was that we could whatsapp with a manager about making reservations at the hotel restaurant and what time you want coffee brought to your bungalow. They were also very helpful giving us restaurant recommendations. Good breakfast: I thought the breakfast menu was more interesting than the beach food or the dinner menu. We were very pleased with our huveros rancheros, Chilaquiles, and enfrijoladas. Good food on the beach but pricy so-so drinks: We loved the gobernador shrimp tacos, tempura tacos, and the tuna tostadas. The drinks were a bit pricey for the hard plastic cup and the non-distinguishable margaritas. When we went, there weren't many others so we could use the air-con when we wanted. But when more people arrived, the aircondition was limited to evening hours. But other all we enjoyed our stay here in Tulum 😊 And if we return one day, we would love to stay here again.

Lovely beach hotel in a fantastic location. We stayed in cabins at Villa Pescadores for 3 nights and had a great stay there. All the staff were really welcoming and friendly. The cabins were cosy, with good showers, comfortable beds and a/c. It was nice to relax on the verandah in the evening too - though if you’re susceptible to mosquitoes, pack some spray! The location is unbeatable with views from the beach of the Mayan temple ruins. Sargassum seemed to come and go during our stay, but the staff do a great job of clearing it from the beach. We ate several times in the beach restaurant. Every meal we had did not disappoint- all very well prepared and presented and the beach club staff were always very helpful and friendly, especially Jose Luis. Our only niggle would be the inconsistency of when food was available. Some days there was a dinner service, other days there wasn’t, and there was often a difference between information provided by the hotel staff and the restaurant kitchen. We had a full day excursion into the Sian Ka’an Nature Reserve and had planned to eat at the hotel when we returned but luckily we had checked with the beach club first the day before and made other arrangements otherwise we’d have gone hungry. Overall if you want to escape, this would be the perfect place to unwind.

3 and 1/2 stars. Generally a good experience. We stayed in the best room available on sale, which was very well furnished, with a front seat on the ocean. Few things could improve such as adding a coffee machine in room, as other hotels in the area offer this amenity at a similar room level and, unfortunately, the porch was almost unusable at times due to the stench of wastewater from below the property, this last item brought down the review from a 4 to half point less. When it comes to jaguar park (quieter area of tulum compared to zona hotelera) Location-wise, the hotel is in a busier area compared to the locations south of the park. The abundance of boat tours and a container on the beach detract from the beach view, though the sea is calmer on this side, and the view of the Tulum ruins is fantastic. That said, the beds on the beach are extremely comfortable and well maintained, adding to the relaxation despite the bustling surroundings. Hotel staff is great and friendly. The hotel’s restaurant is good, but we wish there was more variety at dinner beyond mainly pasta. The prices are exceptionally high, on par with London standards, while steep costs are typical in Tulum, this restaurant seemed to exceed even the usual expectations. Breakfast starts at 8:30 (!!!) quite late.

I am going to give this a 5 because it stood up to everything I was expecting being a relaxed atmosphere, great service, safe, very clean rooms, perfect location on the beach and the manager on site was there throughout the day for any questions or concerns. It is eco friendly, so ensure you understand what that means before you book, but its exactly the type of hotels needed. The beach accommodations provided food/bar, beds, chairs with a light cover for the sun if needed and we didn't have to go early to reserve anything which made it that much more relaxing compared to a busy resort. It was also easy to walk to the ruins from this location which my 10 yr old daughter, wife and I did in about ~15 minutes. You can either pay for a guide or pay a cheap entry fee and walk the grounds yourself which we chose to do. We felt very safe the entire time and enjoyed the sun. You can also walk to a few nearby restaurants if you do not eat at Pescadores and or you can take a taxi to the main beachside Tulum strip for about $300 pesos each way, but you may have to haggle with them a bit. There was also still seaweed around, but talking to locals it tends to disappear in November. Overall great experience and Thanks Villa Pescadores for making our trip enjoyable!

We visited Villa Pescadores at the end of May. Pros: - bungalow style is cool and the porch was nice. They had a tea/coffee service every morning. - Raquel was helpful and responsive via WhatsApp for any questions. - access to the beach is great especially at night - extremely quiet and peaceful vibe. - highly recommend the Seagrass cocktail! Also the morning cookies with the tea were delicious! Cons: - the beaches are filled with seaweed. This is a problem across the region. It was hard to access the beach and enjoy the water with this issue. - was not clear on the website that the AC is only for limited hours. However the staff was accommodating and let us use it outside of the designated hours. - the beach access is great however the use of the beach beds are part of the beach club restaurant and contingent on a minimum spend. We tried going there but the staff constantly asked us to order something. Not a great look after paying so much for the rooms. - location was great for us but note that it is a 20 min drive to downtown and any activity. Taxis are ridiculously expensive and hard to find. Suggest renting a car. - the birds are loud and can be heard inside the room starting at 6am. It was fine for us but could be a problem for others.
