this is the entrance to Fes EL Jdid you will find here most of all cloth and specialty Caftan

Tip: when you travel Morocco first thing you must know is every place that you will arrive, some one will come to help you, first they are very nice, but there interance is to take you not to the place that you need, they will take you to friends stores to buy and get the profit for them self. you will find after that the same thing in half price or even more. one example: someone offer us his help to get to El Fna he took us to his friend and offer us lamp in 2500 dirham, when we said that it's very expensive he took us to another friend and offer the same lamp in 150 dirham, finally we bought it at only...

Bab Semmarine (Semmarin Gate) – This gate is one of the main entrances into the Fès el-Bali Medina and leads straight into the bustling souks. Historically, it was part of the fortifications protecting the old city, and today it still welcomes thousands of visitors and locals every day. The gate itself is less ornate than Bab Bou Jeloud or Bab al-Amir, but it carries a strong sense of history and daily life. Passing through Bab Semmarine, you’ll instantly be immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of traditional markets, narrow alleys, and centuries-old architecture that define the...

Between Gate Semmarin Medina and Bab Mechouar is the Jewish area, along the main street Grande Rue de Fes El Jdid where shops line up both sides. Space in the first floor always for business while the second floor for private space. The living community locates on the side where Darb Zawia door situated. Even though the Jew no longer live over there, here we can still observe local life style, souks, housing types like in any other old medina.
