Hostel vibes and unhelpful staff. I had messaged on WhatsApp to see if they were playing the Paris olympics Australia vs Germany women’s soccer game at 6pm and they responded yes so I booked a table. When we arrived a different game was showing and when we asked them to change to channel, it took about than 10 minutes to do so. There was 8 of us and we all ordered food and drinks however we’re not told that at the end we would need to pay together. We each put out money in and we’re still short - they had charged us for an extra pizza and fries on the drinks bill but still tried to make us think we were wrong. Thankfully our Moroccan tour guide arrived and helped explain.
The service was slow and the staff did not seem happy to have customers like every other place we have visited in this country over the last week.
The pizzas were basically from the frozen isle of the supermarket, although happy we got to watch the game in the end I...
Read moreI wasn't expecting to like this place, but we ended up going there everyday in Fez. As people who live in London, it sounds very much like stereo-typical tourists ending up at a British place, but, after walking in Fez a whole day, being bugged by people telling you that you are going the "wrong way" or that a road is closed (when it's not), it's nice to sit at a place where it's calm and quiet. And yes, despite the kind of place it is, it was calm and quiet.
It wasn't all tourists either, I would say that half of the people there were locals.
We just had their drinks, which were among the cheapest in Fez. Service is very friendly. The setting itself is nice, outdoors by a pool. We didn't try their food, but I doubt anyone goes there...
Read moreWent during ramadan for a few beers and wine. Were served attentively by Kamal and Mohammed who were so friendly and welcoming. Didn't eat as menu options are limited and having a gluten intolerant and vegetarian in our group nothing was appropriate. It was raining when we were there so didn't sit outside but enjoyed the selection of music inside. No doubt it would be great in summer. We got a little tour of the extent of the place when they operate at full capacity outside of ramadan and it looked fun. Facilities a little dated but didn't bother us. Lovely touches around the bar and terrace and we enjoyed watching the fish. There's a pool table there which we didn't get to take advantage of due to people playing while we...
