Ridiculous security, massive queues to get in, they made you wait in line for an age then when you got to the front they advised at could not take bags in of a certain size, so of to join another queue to hand over your bag then back to the rear of the same queue as earlier to enter the stadium, causing many people to miss the start of the game, after the game join bag queue, only they have no idea whose bag is whose, they did not store them in any methodical, orderly fashion, they simply threw hundreds of people's bags into a room it was bedlam, in the end the police had to take over, the whole thing was bedlam, utterly shambolic Ill-organised chaos, if you are going don't take a bag that's any bigger than a piece of A4 paper and don't take a flag that has a pole any longer than 1m. Oh and get...

You often end up paying extra for a "premium" seat that you could have just sat in anyway, because it's usually empty. Particularly if you go in winter, buy the cheapest seat and you'll still be able to sit in the dear ones. Food and drinks are very expensive and subpar. Far more female toilets than mens, which to be fair makes sense if hosting a concert. The person who chooses music needs to be fired, as they play mostly teenage girl music and 'sweet caroline' four times per game. The atmosphere is usually dead, perhaps because of the high prices and bad music, again particularly in winter where they couldn't fill the stadium if it was free. The crusaders get 5/5 for me, as they are the greatest club rugby team in the world and they do all they can to be exciting. The venue gets...

I really hope that in the new stadium two men can sit site by side in the stands without one of them needing to lean forward because there isn’t enough rooms for their shoulders. Now this might sound like a stupid thing to say but watching a game here is pretty dam uncomfortable. If you want to get some good and a beer, arrive 30mins early, because you have to line up for the food, then line up for the beer, then (wait for it)…….. line up to pay. Who actually designed this process? Someone who likes waiting in lines? Like they don’t have anywhere to go? Imagine being a young crusaders fan that had never been to the old stadium and this place is the bench mark.

(Nothing against the ground staff, the...

For a temporary Stadium that's been up for 10 years, because of the delayed replacement plans, it does a darn good job. As the home for Crusaders Super Rugby & Canterbury provincial team, a great atmosphere at home games is always assured, with a solid, diverse fan base. Staff are all so nice & community focused, well organised to deliver a stand out attendance for solo or family attendance. Plenty of food & drink choices, complemented with trucks offer everything you could hope for adults & children alike.

Honestly you can't beat the atmosphere of a home game at the Crusaders - the only thing that would make this better would be a covered stadium (which is coming!!!). This is a very well run venue, with easy access to your seats, amenities and has a small comfy feel. Sure you're a bit exposed if you're on the East or West stands, but since moving the TAKTF to under cover, the experience has improved measurably. Keep it up, we'll keep coming back!!!

Something that was supposed to be temporary has become quite permanent, and it's been a great facility for Ōtautahi, Christchurch. I can never keep up with the name of this place, but they hold sporting events and concerts here, most recently at the time of posting was Good Fighters. What a gig! Great atmosphere, amenities are good and staff were mostly pretty friendly. I'd go back!
