I took my two dear friends, one of whom is blind, out for a Valentines dinner and received terrible service from a manager. We informed the team via the online system of my friends disability but had no idea that Koji decided to cram two sittings into a Tuesday evening to make more money so our dining experience felt rushed and ruined. Had we known it would not be a relaxing experience, as it normally is on a Tuesday evening, we would not have booked and definitely would not have spent $61 a head on the Premium menu! We were told at 6:50pm that our final orders would be taken in 10 minutes as we had no idea there were two sittings this evening. My friend obviously needed more time than other diners to have the menu read to her but this did not matter to the manager who was rude and dismissive, insinuating that we should not be expecting any special treatment and were ordering too much food at one time. It was a complete disaster.....we didn't see our server for 20 minutes at one point, our Premium teppanyaki dishes were painfully slow from the kitchen, we received cold dishes for hot, fresh spring rolls were sloppy and presented as exploded messes on the plate, we received other people's food orders, ice cream in the middle of the main courses when our server promised this would not happen and we were then made to feel uncomfortable when 30+ dishes were dropped on the table by 5 different staff members at 7:10pm. Our table waiting staff were fantastic but we could hear them being spoken to rudely and told to hurry up so this ruined our experience completely. At 7:20pm a lovely member of staff came to our table and said we could finish the food we had paid for but unfortunately the humiliation had set in by then and we simply wanted to leave. I am a regular customer but will be taking a long, long break from Koji due to the embarrassment of this evening. Good timing too, because I would not pay $67 a head with the new price increase to receive 'Karen's Diner' style service from managers. To management: be inclusive to all customers, offer solutions to problems and be kind to your staff members. They work really hard...
Read moreWait for 30 mins inside the store, and already let us sit down the vacant table, after 15mins told us they call another waiting list and ask us for leave, to waiting for another 30mins unsure coming or not groups of clients? Very bad experience
Add some advice: if the table are reserved by booking clients, we have nothing to say, but waiting list people they already gone, they also walk-in clients and left already, also I told you 5:30pm I called several of times try to get booking as well, nobody answer the phone, we should be in the waiting list as well, we drive more than 30 mins here and wait another 30mins, and you already allowed us to sit then after 15mins ask us for leave, it is so rude! Waiting list client normally just for people who still waiting outside the restaurant and get a waiting number and if they can not come back within 2-5mins after announcement the number, table should give to next group, also we already wait there for some table available, your staff told us we could wait, but he not sure how long we would wait for, but we still wait there for a table available, if the table takes us 30-60mins waiting, then ask us leave as well? you should understand who are the real priority waiting list clients there, that’s the...
