🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely Outstanding – A Must-Visit Indian Dining Experience in Christchurch! If you're in Christchurch and craving authentic, delicious Indian cuisine, Indian Springs Eatery should be at the very top of your list. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed not just by the inviting aromas of spices, but by a warm, friendly team who genuinely care about your dining experience. Food: 10/10 The food here is absolutely top-tier. Every dish is made with care, balance, and bold, authentic flavours. Whether you're a fan of rich, creamy butter chicken or prefer the spicy kick of a lamb vindaloo, Indian Springs delivers. The curries are perfectly spiced (with heat levels adjustable to your liking), and the meats are always tender and cooked to perfection. Vegetarian options are equally impressive – the paneer tikka masala and chana masala are both standouts, full of depth and cooked with obvious skill. And don’t even get me started on the garlic naan – soft, warm, and just the right amount of crisp from the tandoor. You’ll be ordering seconds without hesitation. Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and rich in traditional Indian flavours. The portions are generous, and the prices are more than fair for the quality you get. Service: Impeccable The staff at Indian Springs Eatery are some of the most welcoming and courteous I’ve come across in Christchurch. From the moment we were seated, the service was attentive without being overbearing. Water glasses were filled, recommendations offered with genuine thought, and every question was answered with a smile. You can tell the team is passionate about what they do – they take real pride in both the food and the customer experience. It’s the kind of place where the staff remember your name, your favourite dish, and make you feel like part of the family. Atmosphere: Comfortable and Inviting The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, with tasteful decor that reflects Indian culture without being overdone. Whether you're dining in for a casual meal, celebrating a special occasion, or just grabbing takeaway, the environment suits all needs. Final Thoughts: Indian Springs Eatery is not just another Indian restaurant – it's a standout destination for anyone who appreciates fantastic food and excellent hospitality. It's rare to find a place where the quality of the cuisine matches the warmth of the service so seamlessly, but Indian Springs has managed to do just that. Highly recommended. Whether you're a local or just passing through Christchurch, do yourself a favour and book a table or grab a takeaway. You won’t be disappointed – this is Indian cuisine...
Read moreCouldn't recommend this place more; a varied menu, great prices, lovely staff, and just delicious meals. The group I went with bought a lot, enough for each of us to take half a curry home after finishing maybe more than we should've, and it cost us about $30 each. The Navratan korma was my favourite. It was so creamy and a little sweet, it reminded me of mango chicken but maybe even better. My mango lassi tasted better than almost every expensive mango/yoghurt smoothie I've ever had, despite being only $6! We had a platter that included both a goat and a lamb dish, which can easily be chewy, but both meats were incredibly soft and tasty. Despite our various food restrictions, no one was left with nothing to order and everyone went home well fed and pleased. We will absolutely be returning to try even more of the menu.
Revisited! Still absolutely amazing! This time I brought even more people with me. This time it was me and my friends (the same ones that came last time + some more) as well as my close family! My mum bought a very hot dish and was very pleased with how spicy it was, which is good because my parents are very picky and will always order as hot as possible. One friend doesn't really eat anything that isn't plain chicken, so he snacked on garlic naan and whatever the rest of us had bought, and even HE thought everything was tasty, even if the green of the saagwala spooked him. The same as the previous trip, we couldn't finish everything we bought so took some home. My parents mixed their leftovers with prawns and got a whole other dinner out of it! The lamb was still fall apart soft, and we all went into food...
Read moreOrdered biryani $1, vada Pav $10 that was on Uber one promo and chilli chicken with gravy $23.99 (original price). The total with service fees came to $38.14. Once the order went through got a message from store saying they sold out of chilli chicken with gravy and gave us 9mins to choose a substitute. We chose chilli chicken dry and updated the details only to realise that all the other products had changed back to original price ie chicken biryani $23.90, vada pav $13.99 and chilli chicken dry $23.99 the new total pice was $62.31. We didn't think anything of it at the time as we had already been charged $38.14. Once our food arrive we had received our initial order which is chicken biryani, vada Pav and chilli chicken with gravy. The following day we noticed that Uber had refunded us $38.41 and deducted $62.31. This is not the first time this store has tried to get us to change our order. It has happened before but instead of changing items we had cancelled the order.
Taste of food was not that nice. We have definitely had better. Chicken biryani did not have much flavour. Requested spice level medium-hot so they put some crushed chilli on top instead of mixing it through the food. Rice did not have any flavour except 1 cardamom pod. Chicken had a little bit of flavour to it but could still be considered quite blend. Vada pav was quite nice. Chilli chicken dry Came with gravy and chicken was hard.
Overall never ordering from this...
