Used to visit Northlands Mall every week but now I am absolutely disgusted at the Mall Owners or Mall Management deciding to hire a parking warden. I saw the warden today chalking tyres and issuing tickets. I didn't see any signs anywhere warning of a $65 fine for over parking either. Do you want customers to frequent the mall or not? Seems like you don't. It takes longer than 90minutes to do a grocery shop, look in clothes shops, pop into the Warehouse etc and stop for lunch. Today I had to rush through my big weekly grocery shop and left before I finished the other shopping I had wanted to do for fear of receiving a ticket. I certainly didn't have time for lunch today. The poor shop owners are going to lose custom wheras the Owners of the Mall or Management are raking in the money from unsuspecting shoppers. Not even messages over the intercom warning customers to check the time they have been parked. Also some of the cafes and food places let it down. Horrible service and high prices at the two Robert Harris shops and also the service at Esquires could be better. Both places frequently close the kitchen early before 2pm, sometimes as early as 1pm. Get rid of the awful hard grey plastic seating. In fact could do with more seating for the elderly who struggle to walk and more disabled parking. I only ever manage to find a free disabled park about once a month when I take my mother out. Both sides of the closest lane to the mall should be for disabled parking. Seems to be more parent parking than disabled parking. Please sort this out. I'd give this Mall a no star rating if I could. It seems to get...
Read moreBrought my family out for movie shop and lunch , spent money in shops plus restaurant over 3 hour period. I don’t even recognized I parked in 60min carpark and got a $65 parking ticket. Carpark was not busy that day the carpark is not full and still have a lot of parking spots and I don't look for 60min carparks as a rule in a mall. The parking spot doesn’t stated parking limit P60. And I just follow google map to acres Hoyts cinema. It wasn't a disable park or loading zone. Is it the mall shall tell their cinema customers clearly where to park? And is it a family friendly shopping mall to limit the time for their customers shall spend in their shopping mall? If my parking is not right spot? Why the management Customer service cannot pages the announcements to ask me re parking the car to the right parking spot? But offer me a ticket fines their customer? The fines is unreasonable and ripped off for kiwi families. I won’t come again and ask my friends and families don’t come and shop in Northlands shopping Centre if they don’t waive my...
Read moreHi there, look sorry about this. I'm not sure how I wound up posting a one star rating for Northlands Mall. Can't actually remember posting anything on Google Maps four days ago. I know I have had to go back and correct a couple of other ratings when I inadvertently hit the first star, intending to go left to right and up the star rating; forgetting that you need to tap just the one star at the point on the scale you wish to indicate. In any case, I have amended that entry and am happy to say I have had nothing but generally positive experiences while shopping at Northlands. Good range of stores and very helpful staff on the mall management kiosk the one time I needed a pointer to find a straying family member. Ample parking, dining options, comfy cinema; relatively new and fresh, well serviced public restrooms; handy banking, supermarkets, pool and library all in easy walking distance of car parks. I find it easy to pop in and out of Northlands, get a few errands done, when I pass...
