Food was ok. Chips were precooked, not cooked from scratch (they may buy them like this, in Australia chips are always cooked from fresh). Snapper fish was nice, flaked ok. Batter could be a little more crunchy. Didn't see any option for other styles of coming apart from battered. No crumbed option offered, no grilled option. Hamburger was nice, meat a little thin but the bacon portion was generous. Not this places fault but hamburgers in NZ are not as generous as in Australia (adding this for international travelers). The place was clean, better than most fast food places I have seen in NZ. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Three or four tables with 4 to 6 seats each means there is plenty of seating. Tried to get food in here for my daughter who is dairy free. Asked if they could tell me if certain items had dairy in them or not. Older lady behind counter actually said they were to busy to care about whether or not it was dairy free or not. She made it VERY clear that she wouldn't be interested in finding out or not. Walked out without anything. Stupid thing is the food probably would have been fine but she didn't even bother to check.
