Chicking Hamilton — Restaurant in Hamilton

I don't like giving places low ratings, but it is what it is... We visited this place Saturday night at about 10:30pm. There were warning signs as soon as we walked in. Floors looked like they hadn't been swept all day, tables not wiped down and it didn't smell like a chicken place (like KFC or Texas Chicken), but thought we here now might as well try it and the food might make up for it. After ordering at the self service kiosk and waiting 15mins, one of the staff members came up and told us that what we ordered (chicken on rice) off the kiosk was no longer available 🤦🏾 not "sold out" but "we don't make that anymore"... Anyways, after waiting about 25mins for our order the food was ready, not sure what the delay was only 1 customer before us but make sure you check your order before leaving, we checked ours and we were missing fries. Burgers were average, gravy wasn't too bad and one set of fries were cold and the missing fries were hot. Overall we won't be coming back here unless new management comes in or standards improve. Sorry guys looks like the other 1 star reviewers were on point with their description of your place.

Chicking in general is pretty good any where else, except this time in Ham East there was a wait on fresh chicken, and it came out both burnt and uncooked in the centre, as if the temperature was turned up in an attempt to make it cook faster, the store is off the main road and didn't even know it existed until today, and although it looks new the store looks like it upcycled floor edge trims from an old moldy building, also if you order a meal with a drink they ask "would you like a drink" always have to pause to think do they mean an extra drink? Once I said no and then when the meal was ready I asked for the coke I paid for and they said I couldn't have it because they it wasn't part if the order. Although it tastes great usually It's also like the 'third worldiest' of all the food joints. The whole kitchen was like 3m squared yet behind the counter they were yelling like they were standing on opposite corners of a busy Mumbai street intersection, also the seats felt like they slanted strangely forward, and the whole store smelt like the curry shop next door shared the same...

This was some of the worst service and food I've ever had. We were told a 10 mins wait, 22mins later it was ready. We got a royal chicken burger combo and a tender lunch box. The burger was very sad and flat the chicken patty was like 3 very flat dry pieces of meat not even like 1 whole patty, the chicken tenders were tiny thin cold pieces of meat and the coating was just falling off it. The chips also very cold and soggy. After all the waiting the food was absolutely terrible. We didn't eat most of took a few bites and threw it away. Sadly we were not in a position to return the food we had to carry on. While I waited I saw the food handling cert on the wall expired in sept 2023! And the whole shop filled up with dirty deep fryer smoke 🤮 the shop floor was sticky as. absolutely waste of money and time, and after all the waiting the guy had the audacity to ask for a review!? Wild Had to go home and brush my teeth to get the rank chicken out...
