Lincoln Rd Skatepark — Attraction in Henderson-Massey

This place used to be full of kids on their skateboards, bikes, mopeds, etc. on the weekend. With the dawn of Mobile Gaming like Minecraft and Fortnite. This place is basically deserted. Every time I drive past, it is rare to see more than 5 kids playing there. So sad. No more will we see future X-Games athletes representing New Zealand in Skateboarding or BMX. Not that we have any to begin with. Still sad. If only parents can nurture their kids better instead of taking the cowards way out. Giving them a mobile phone just to keep them...

Concrete: Smooth polish

Obstacles: The flat and round rails are solid. The Half pipe and Spine transfers are solid. -/+The rail on the stair set is high. Lack of skate flow. The sink/pump/snake bowl thing is uneven and too mellow towards the coping. The shaded large ramp in the middle leads to nowhere. The ledges are short and only 1 height.

Maintenance: Clean No graffiti No sticks, pebbles or rocks

this skatepark is super fun, theres a lot of stuff you can do there. the bowls a bit weird to drop into and it’s a bit of an adrenaline boost. sad to see there really isn’t anyone there anymore. It used to be full of kids with scooters, skateboards and bikes. but unfortunately kids found video games and social media. i am a kid myself ( teenager ) and i still enjoy outdoors a lot. i went with my friend and it was awesome! definitely recommend for beginners and advanced skaters ( or people...
