BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

My mother and I had this very terrible experience this morning at this Thai Heng Growers branch in Lincoln Henderson. This young staff particularly at the meat section was very rude to us - we were just selecting our usual meat orders but this young guy/staff suddenly scolded my mom in front of other customers at the meat section because the staff said that we are already touching the meat when we were definitely not doing that. First of all, we are aware of food safety issues surrounding the proper handling of food items so we would definitely not touch the meat products. A review of your CCTV footage will prove this as your staff member was so rudely pointing out that we can be seen by the CCTV cameras. Second, we were only pointing out the various meat products that we would like to purchase in that counter as you would in any other meat counter. There was no hint of disrespect on our part. When we asked for his manager, he even told us at first to go get the manager ourselves. After talking with the manager, neither he nor the meat section staff apologised to my mother for their staff member’s sheer disrespect.

We have had a few incidents of bad customer service there before with some of their staff at the checkout counter and with this young guy again at the meat section. For the record, these incidents only happened this year. Me and my family have been their regular customers for almost 5 years at this particular branch and have always had a pleasant experience with their staff in the first 4 years. We will never go...

I want to tell you about a true and accurate review of my visit to Thai Heng yesterday 21/12/2021. I have a legitimate medical exemption from wearing a face covering into stores due to a serious medical condition...which was triggered by events yesterday. I wear this exemption clearly around my neck when going into stores. The manager saw my exemption as I shopped in his store yesterday while he was serving on the till at around 3 pm. I finished my purchase and then he said ''Don't come back to this store again without a mask.'' I told him I have an exemption and am unable to wear a mask, hence my exemption, which IS LEGITIMATE from the MOH website. An argument ensued about what is discrimination and I offered to call the police for clarification. I did call the police and the manager now has clarity that what he did is called discrimination. We are at a critical point in humanity, and I advise anyone who reads this to remember to be on the right side of history. We all need to treat each other better. The manager of this store did not do well and HE KNOWS IT. I had been a customer for over 10 years and yesterday I felt like a non person...and this guy said that to me. To protect HIS customers, I cannot enter. Suddenly I am not a customer anymore? I cried and cried on the way home and all night about this...that is why I am writing this review, to let go and Let God fix...

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

The staff here as so rude and arrogant. There is a line for a reason and just because some mid-age white lady PUSHES in the line (she just went through the store and walked right up in front of me). Note as soon as the person before me left, I was midway putting my arms full of cans down when this lady cuts me off and this asian female staff serves her with no regards to me. Then proceeds to talk about me with her male asian co-worker and points at me (that's how I know) and laughs and they both look at me. Like what the hell! This store is also so small, staff just push past you and step on your toes and then they are angry that you go in their way! what the hell, they need to teach these people how to behave they are in New Zealand not their old country!! this is not how things are done here! get some respect! Yes it sounds like I am racist because that's how they treated me so I'll pay them back with the same attitude. The only person that was nice in this store was a young male who was stoking the shelves and helped me KINDELY find my items.

They also don't have a lot of things and it is horribly over-priced compared to other near-by fruit and vege stores. Don't bother coming her unless you want to be dis-respected...
