Hut BBQ — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

My family and I were waiting patiently for our food after we ordered our meals. A family of 5 adults and 4kids I was so shocked of how rude we were treated after I asked the lady serving us if we could change our table to the bigger table as we were seated at two tables. They had two sets of tables of 9seats next to us where my family and I could all sit down together. We were seated at two tables of 7seats. The lady said NO NO NO walking away speaking In their language and waving her hand like she was angry. She didn't finish what she was trying to say all i could hear her say "your already sitting down" bla bla bla walking away. I then walked towards her and I asked nicely if there was a problem if we just move to a bigger table and she said "Oh we are really busy with other customers" waving her hand like she was trying to get a fly out of the way. There were no customers on our side and no one ordering too, wasnt busy at all.

A man came out and looked angry at me instead of asking what was going on, they were all speaking their language and me standing their looking lost. He said "your already sitting down go sit down" they were all talking at the same time to me and loud that everyone was looking at us. All I asked for was to move to the next table and they were having a fit at me. The lady that was serving us and the counter lady were looking at us as if we did something wrong I felt uncomfortable and disgusted how poorly we were treated. We all got out of the restaurant and they followed me to pay for our meal we ordered that we did not eat and they were taking photos of us and my number plate. I will never come back to eat here too many rude and mean staff and Im sorry I didnt pay what we ordered but im not staying with my family to have dinner if thats how you treat...

Food not bad but terrible service. Incident October 2022

Called as soon as they opened, ordered ahead via phone. 4 dishes(chinese friend ordered) . Told 20 min wait time.

Arrived on time , says will take another 10 minutes, then another then another. Other people who ordered food at counter after I arrived got their food well beforehand.

I didnt shout or raise my voice but by 45 mins frustration has seeped through. I asked person to please check with kitchen as she gave estimate each time withour checking with anyone. So how do they actually know if it's going to be another 10 minutes.

Then one lady shouted in Chinese to me, advised I dont speak chinese and no need to raise her voice at me. Another lady then checked and clueless as to what we ordered.

I don't think order has actually been placed until this point(they didnt bother to check each time) Took hour and 10 mins. . . IF order wasn't for a good friend, on their birthday, would have left. No...

I ordered 3 dishes. Sweet n sour pork,salted n pepper tofu, fried noodles with fish n veg.Cost me $95 total. As a traditional Canton Food eater, I can say the chef is good.he can manage to make a fantastic meal. Also I was satisfied about the portion. However, the QUALITY of the ingredients were very bad. The fish was unpleasant ammonia odor. About The service.Since we walked in the shop n said two people please. The man did heard that but responded until we said twice n came to service,but without any smiles (also the lady without smile when we asked for chill oil) THE PRICE: $95 for 3 meals. Not worth it. I guess they also apply Unreasonable additional charges(the Chinese Tea?) cos the $95 not match my order in price menu( I didn’t ask cos too...
