The meat was so old it smelled ( stank) of that smell when meat sits around for too long! I paid like $28 for two smallish pieces of meat one was the Wagu ... one which was not much bigger than a size of a medium- small hand which was $18.?? & then nearly $10 for the other piece (again for a smallish-med) piece of stake! The wagu smelled so bad but i thought cant be really so i tried to cook it well! Even then when i was eating ( & during the cooking & at all times) the bad smell & even the taste made me feel like im gona throw up 🤮 uhh even the thought of it makes me sick & i eat meat just fine! Iv not been back to tell them cuz i throw both meat out! I feel its so unacceptable since thats the only thing they are there to sell pretty much only MEAT! Il never go back! Sorry guys but to me its just unbelievable really specially that that was my first time there & i had a good chat with them about what i want & they talked to me for rather a while...
Read moreI love it when you walk in. You actually know you're in a proper butchery. It's packed full of products, yet it's not a big shop, but it's a decent shop indeed.
Pork belly slices 8.5/10 Amazing slices, the seasoning blend is on point and full of flavor. Found small bones on the under part, so I just thrm out.
Smokey brisket and jalapeño sausage 9.1/10 Solid combination. They were great with mashed potatoes and the gravy mix i bought in my photo. Must try, and I feel this is one of their big sellers. Should add cheese chunks to this sausage.
Toulouse sausage 8.5/10 Interesting product. The combination was different that I hadn't had before, but it's decent. I completely forgot what's in it, but I do like it.
It's worth a visit, I feel you'll find something in here...
Read moreAlways a great shop for all your meat requirements. They have such a big variety of different sausages, steaks, chicken, salami's, vacuum packed meats etc. Spices and different condiments and lots of treats to make the "Braai" (Barbeque) special. They have Biltong Dry Wors / Sausage, Chilli Bites and then on Fridays they get in some traditional eats such as Milk Tarts, Rusks etc. The display of their different types of meat etc. is of a very high standard and great cuts. The staff are great and very friendly and as a regular they learn to know you. Very highly recommended and will definitely be back again, very soon. It is always worth the long trip to do the meat...
