MacLean Park — Attraction in North Island

Love spending time here, enjoying the fresh sea air, and taking in wonderful views of Kapiti Island. On a clear day, you can also see the top of the South Island very clearly. There's a wonderful walkway in the area, that allows one to walk along the whole beach area, with a number of walk-ways leading down to the beach. Many times I have taken sight of beautiful sunsets while here; and have also really enjoyed sitting at one of the parks picnic tables enjoying either a wonderful ice cream from a nearby dairy, or fish and chips from the nearby McLean Street Fish...

A great place to visit if you need to keep children amused for a couple of hours in the cooler weather. The park is awesome and newly renovated with a good variety of items to play on, being practically on the beach front a great place to spend the day in summer. Many takeaway shops close buy is a bonus if you get hungry I bring my grandchildren here for a treat nothing like fish and chips, a swim (in the warmer weather) then playing in the park and an ice cream...

This park is a neat place to explore with a fill sized tractor & Boat to play in & on. It has a small area for all ages with a big skate park located within a short walking distance away. The local Parae each shop are an easy walk away also for a ymmmy meal, ice cream, just to browse the many different shops there. Do venture up the side streetz for more shops & every Saturday there is a street market...
