The most iconic place in Glenorchy is definitely this waterfront reserve, the row of willow trees, the wharf, the iconic red shed, all are insta-worthy attractions. Not forgetting the vast landscape, beautiful Lake Wakatipu and crystal clear Dart River, the scenery is just beyond words. Unfortunately, when we were here, it was pretty crowded, hard to take photo without other tourists as the background.

The 80km drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy is a must do if you're staying in Queenstown. Spectacular mountain and lake scenery and a small historic town with a variety of cafes and eateries. It's also one of the areas used in LOTR filming. Best light for photography is in the morning and its also the best time to avoid other...

Beautiful spot, If you are in Queenstown visit Glenorchy - the waterfront, the lake, the blue skies, the trees (some of them in the water), and the mountain in background adds to the charm of the place. There is a lagoon walk if you have time to explore otherwise laze around the wharf and waterfront and take...
