It has been brought to our attention with a review post that has been re-posted from an incident that occurred approximately 1 year and a half ago. Now that it has been posted as an issue that eludes to being of a recent and re-occurring matter, this is not the case or the intention on how we would like to ever be the standard of what we serve or how we operate as a business.
With this incident first occurring, our natural response was indeed to seek reaching out to remedy and rectify the issue, as of course! who wants to have customers be left with a bad experience and the quality of there experience be tainted. How ever! There was no prior phone call made, no in store visitation, no email, and with having no ability to directly message the posted review. Having contacted the Council to further inspect and clarify this incident. There was also no contact information left for The Council or for us to have further communications.
With that being said, since it is a review page and not a complaints handling site. We chose to take it on the chin, accept the criticism, move forward, see that no further occurrences of this nature can happen to the best of our ability and remedy the issues. This allows us to troubleshoot incidences like these concerning outsourced products that potentially harbor unwanted passengers.
Since this one off incident, we have not had further issues or did we actually know how this dragon made it through the processing stages and skipped the chefs knives alive. So it’s baffling to understand how this happens, but also how do we minimize or find fault to instances like this occurring because it will be nonsense to think these things happen with ill intent.
Constructive criticism, areas of improvement, and the ability to remedy making up for your loss in a product that isn’t up to par, will always be handled with great care given that we get an appropriate opportunity to do so.
Thank you to reviewer Highest Fate for your feedback.
Thank you to our customer community who continue to support us. Thank you to our future customers who trust that our intentions to deliver quality food and service experience will continue to be pursued and applied moving forward.
On behalf of all, we thank you for this 5 star review we have had to leave for clarity.
Love Paasha Turkish...
Read moreABSOLUTELY FABULOUS AND TRADITIONAL TURKISH FOOD! Finally!
Cuisine in New Zealand is hard to come across traditional foods from difference countries. Living in Toronto my whole life the options were endless!
We got the shareable platter between me and my boyfriend AND WE DEVOURED THE WHOLE THING!!
Thank you to our kiwi waiter (that sounded Canadian, but a traveler so he picked up multiple accents along the way). His service was polite and apologized for the long wait, but it was awesome when everything showed up and he asked if we wanted and EXPLAINED what was on our dish. ABSOLUTELY 5 star service. Thank you Kiwi Canadian sound-alike.
Not bland, great taste, not over salted, tabouli was so fresh. I wish the full pastry had some spinach in it, a bit too rich and creamy, but now I’m just being picky.
5 stars, would go back tomorrow if I lived in Dunedin. 1,000% must try. All the waiters actually were on point. Great service. Just the long wait (40-50min was a bit too much), but thankful we got a table....

Went to Paasha after reading reviews on Google. We ordered LARGE Lamb Shish, Kofta Shish and Lamb Doner. I find the lamb doner a bit too 'lam(b)mi' for my taste but my kids were okay with it. The lamb and kofta shish were awesome! For sauces, we had the special, garlic and halep to share among 2 adults and 3 kids. My kids loved the food so much that they said they wanted to eat there again the next day and we did go back! And they said if they can give 10 stars, they will! 😊
Paasha Turkish Cafe clearly proves that one doesn't need too much salt or hot chilli to make food taste good. What is needed is the right blend of herbs and spices. We love the hummus, couscous and salad that came with the meat too!
Worthy to mention is the cheerful and friendly waiters/waitresses. They really make customers like us feel very welcome. We'll definitely eat at Paasha again the next time we're in Dunedin. Or if we're passing by Dunedin, we'll also stop...
