I have been to this store multiple times as it has a good range of English food. Now I am disappointed to see that they're prices just keep going up, almost as if they think no one notices. I bought some Cherry Lips for this store not so long ago, I noticed on the back of the packet you could clearly see that a higher priced sticker had been placed over the top. I think that's quite unacceptable for a store to do this in plain few for the customers to see. Multiple times I have been back to purchase something and see the price raised by $2 or even $3+. Being brought up in England I know that the prices that are on the products are absolutely ridiculous. I totally understand you are that you are business owners and need to make a profit, but this is clearly insane. Charging $6.95 for a Pot Noodle that is sold in Tescos for £0.80 (80 UK pence) with the current exchange rate they retail at $1.59, understand shipping cost etc are involved but seriously do the maths doesn't work out. Also noticed that this store is selling expired goods, when asked if you could receive this for a discount price you will get told no, you will also get told that due to shipping or boat supplies that can't guarantee that they will be in date. Fair enough. But this still shows that they clearly do not care and still continue to sell this full price (which has also tripled in the past year). When leaving the store I noticed that the lady working walked over to the items I told her where expired and turned them all facing up right, clearly so when you pick up a packet you wouldn't see the date. Unacceptable. At the counter they have British Cadburys chocolate bars mini (delicious) which clearly state on the wrapper not for individual sale but still continues to charge for them.

Read more29/12/2017 - This shop is tucked between AMI Insurance and the Outlet Store (parallel importer). It is not easy to find and I found it by accident 😅. I walked into this wee tiny candy shop and I feel so so happy (like Hansel and Gretel except there was no witch to fatten me and eat me 😆😁). There are lots of candies everywhere I see 🤩, and I lost control over my temptation 🤪😙. They stocked lollies, sweets and candies from mainly Europe and a few come from other non EU countries. Definitely a must do by visiting this candy shop in Dunedin. Apart from the sweets, lollies and candies, they do sell other food items like Kapiti ice cream, can food from UK and locally made cakes and sweets. I got my Apple O (sour lollies) there as these days, Apple O lollies are hard to find and to come by (especially in Christchurch).

Read moreBrilliant shop! So happy to find this place as it's been really difficult to find sweets in NZ, supermarkets seem have lots of chocolates and biscuits but the sweeties are definitely lacking so have to find a place. This shop may look small but it's quite long and have a good variety including sections of things like licorice and rocks and all sorts. The lady in the shop was a delight and offered food support and knew her stock well. Thankfully she was very understanding of my huge basket 🤣 including items like freeze dried ice cream, powdered and liquid chewing gum, sour slime, soft rock and cinnamon balls. They also stock some real classic sweets, I even found a MelodyPop! If you're in the area then definitely pop in, pick up a basket and I'm sure you'll find something you enjoy...
