Tried the lamb, beef brisket, beef cheeks, and pork belly - so tender, juicy, succulent, and good portion sizes. Definitely worth the price for the amount of meat, quality and taste. The chips are super crisp and soft on the inside cooked on Wagyu fat. All meats are locally sourced beef and lamb. Beef cheeks was the most tender and succulent, while lamb had a nice chew and gamey flavour. Came with fresh slaw/salad which was crisp and refreshing. Gravy poured all on top added a perfect balance of seasoning. Also had the mint sauce for the lamb, apple sauce with the pork, and a drizzle of chilli sauce (not too spicy). Went around 4pm, so picnic tables were all empty which was nice to eat - almost like a small market vibe with other food trucks (Boba, burger truck, birria truck). Just one guy running the truck, cooking meat all day long, really friendly - went back for an extra box with extra fries and meat it was so good! Apparently he sells out each day, so better to go earlier than later!

WARNING : I was queueing and I saw how big the portions were for the the two people in front of me. When it was my turn, I ordered 2 meals with 2X extra meat and I explained that I wanted just the meat, no fries nor salad. With my accent the guy understood that I was a tourist. To fill my order, he surprisingly picked the meat from another box than the others (locals) in front of me, more surprisingly the cut was different to what I saw previously. I paid almost 80$ for that and I can say it’s a JOKE for the amount/quality of meat I had ! It’s been a month I eat various meats in NZ and it’s the first time I didn’t finish : the brisket was terribly fat and chewy, I couldn’t eat it. I stay 4 days in Wanaka, I’ll rather spend my money at Kika for a delicious lamb shoulder for the same price or even at Burrito craft which only charges 6$ for extra meat and actually really add some. First time I feel fooled in NZ 👎🏼

14/06/2025 We shared one portion of the Wagyu brisket between the two of us, and honestly — this is the best brisket I’ve ever had. Everything was seasoned so well: • The salad was fresh and crisp. • The Wagyu brisket was perfectly tender, with just the right balance of fat and lean. • The sauce on top was spot on — flavorful without being too salty or overwhelming. • The fries were crispy outside, soft inside, and not too salty either. The price was extremely reasonable — only $29! 🥹 It’s rare to find food this good at such a fair price these days. On top of that, the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended — would absolutely come back!
