This is definitely the best hostel in Wanaka and one of the best in New Zealand. Very well located in the heart of Wanaka, you got the Lake and a couple of bars 1 min from the hostel, it is perfect if you want to go out. The dorm beds are always clean and tidy, you have 2 pillows and a personal towel ready for you. You also got a curtain on each bed for a little privacy and 2 usb plugs so you can charge your phone easily.
The facilities are also very good, you got everything you need in the kitchen if you want to cook a great meal, there is enough space for everyone. The communal bathrooms/toilets are cleaned every day, same for the communal areas where you got 2 computers and a PS4 if you want watch a movie or play 1 or 2 Fortnite games ! :)
The staff is very friendly, always ready to help you during your stay. They are hosting a lot of events like pool competitions, quiz nights or movie night, its awesome when you want to meet people and share good moments, you will never be alone there is always something going on.
I really enjoyed my stay and looking forward to come...
Read moreThis is the 10th hostel that I’ve stayed at in New Zealand and by far the best. You can park your car for free in the street next to the hostel, I always managed to get a spot. We were welcomed by a member of staff at the reception that gave us a short tour of the hostel. The rooms are a decent size and have their own private bathroom. I found the bed/mattress very comfortable. The room and bathroom were cleaned daily which is quite rare for a hostel. The kitchen is a bit small but is fully equipped and has enough fridge space for everyone. There’s a “games room” (even has a PS4) and a “computer room” where you can chill out/work. The laundry service is unreal! You just leave the staff your bag of clothes and they do everything for you and leave it on your bed when it’s done! An overall clean and well located place to stay if you’re in Wānaka. I’d definitely stay...
Read moreI had a reservation from September 14 to September 27, but due to an emergency on September 15, I had to urgently fly back to my home country because my mother was admitted to the ICU. I asked if it would be possible to cancel the remaining stay (from September 15 to 27) due to this situation.
The front desk told me that the payment was handled through Booking.com and that they couldn’t make any decisions regarding refunds.
After returning to my country, I contacted Booking.com, but they informed me that the property did not approve a refund in this situation.
I believe no one would use a family emergency as an excuse unless it were true. I have also attached photo evidence to...
