Three star due to poor service and no staff who can assist in times when needed.
From the location and view point I can consider giving 5* but it is really not needed if you intent to go on tour for remarkable’s / coronet peak / million dollar cruise ride you will see the mountain ranges. Rather stay close to city so that you have an easy access to all amenities. This property is situated between airport and city, so if you don’t have any vehicle don’t go for this property or else you will keep booking uber for your essentials.
The room we stayed in had light issues, water leakage issue in bathroom issue which never got fixed not even until checkout and fire guard was requested and was provided but on the last day of the stay which made no sense and that too a light weight stuff for formality. Had a one year old baby with us they should have taken it seriously leather than just doing a formality end moment.
Everything is third party arrangements here so if you need any sort of service you are spending more and more dollars.
Be prepared to spend more dollars apart from the money you will pay for the view which is not really “THE” thing required trust me it’s all hype. If booking a room consider other options too as other property have mountain and lake view at much affordable price with all the amenities and services that one needs whilst on vacation. So make the bookings after reading the amenities and services included and not included when you book rooms in Queenstown.
It was our first time to Queenstown. We felt we paid money to villa de Lago only for the view , bed and facility of cooking food. Also, to note you got to clean and throw rubbish on your own so if you are okay to also do household jobs on your vacation then go ahead pay huge sum for the same routine.
OR book a proper hotel and get the amenities and services included in the package that one deserves while on vacation taking leave from work to rest.
No considerations on late checkout too so wrap up everything on time including throwing garbage.
We had a baby us and still no considerations on allowing us to get even an extra 1/2 n hour late checkout. The management should have been considerate but was not the case.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay but a tiring one too for my family and myself.
Good luck ! Folks enjoy hope the feedback helps and if you choose this property be prepared for the delays, spending more dollars and most importantly hire car and a car seat if you...
Read moreDisappointing. Not worth the money So communication via email with veronika had been great. On arrival there was a receptionist on hand which we saw and even though you get an email explaining where your room is it would of been nice to be directed by her and a heads up about the many steps you have to lug your luggage down or up too & where to park. Those stairs are steep and concrete. At least have lights by them for nighttime. Parking is hard. Probably like that at a lot of places due to the hillside but that steep driveway was quite unpleasant. Parking was a squish at times. So that with the steepness, parking & busy road it’s on, was v stressful at times. The room. The view the best thing. And the bed and couch are comfy & the kitchen is decent. That was all I liked about the place. On arrival there was a big wet patch of carpet by the laundry. The soap dispenser broke when we used it. Dishes were still wet. One was dirty. The oven timer didn’t turn off till the next day & we were worried it was going to go off in the night. No Netflix which I think is ridiculous for what you’re paying. And the tv. When I would sometimes change a channel etc it would turn the one on in the room and wake mum up &/or give us a fright! Some of these things we alerted staff about but in the end we gave up. One of the electric blankets was broken. We were told the apartment would be serviced daily ( just basic stuff ) it wasn’t on our 2/3 day. And the in rubbish - the fact you have to take that downstairs to the big bins shocks me. There was broken cupboard. The table felt sticky. Expect to get an email saying they’d appreciate if you check out before 10am. Honestly it was so poorly maintained and the service was average. If it was half the price it would seem fitting. Spend your money elsewhere. Stay...
Read moreIncredible view! The apartment was tidy, spacious, comfortable, staff did a good cleaning job 3-4 days into our weeklong stay, and we overall really enjoyed our time here. But knocking off a star for a few issues: 1) The steep stairways down to most units were challenging with bags and not at all disability friendly, and the car park is so horrendous that we walked the half-hour to the town center several times, rather than risking moving the car in and out. The parking spaces are directly opposite a jagged rock wall, and the only way of getting in and out is a narrow lane with sharp hairpin turns. I scraped my rental car's back bumper parking there for the first time, and will now owe damage money on a rental that otherwise went completely smoothly. I honestly would only recommend staying here with a car if you are excellent at parking and accustomed to narrow mountainside roads. 2) We were pleased to have a washer and dryer in the unit, but when we tried them they took forever to finish their cycles and, on further inspection, didn't actually clean OR dry our clothes. 3) There were a few weird stains on the curtains and on one of the armchairs in the...
