PK event I was impressed with the team who look after the Victory Centre. The team are young but willing to help when asked for help they looked after your needs when discussed. I take my hat off to them as it can be hard to work around events and do there job looking after the rubbish bins, toilet, vaccuming and tidying up during and after events etc. Well done to the staff Leaders getting to know their requirements and working alongside with them is rewarding as there roles are just as important as the event The place is well looked after and plenty of parking with Victory Park across the road for a stroll. It also has a bridge access to walk across and the local market and retailers and shops including the viaduct down the road. The only hindrance would be traffic as it's on the turnoff towards the motorway and that can be quite heavy when going to the venue. The actual building has a great capacity for events but can be missed when trying to find it if you are not familar with its location, where? Belmount Street on the corner before the lights access onto the motorway, and oncoming exit traffic off the motorway (less -1 grade). The Victory Convention Centre is used by many establishments and groups. The Auditorium is quite spacious and toilet located throughout its access doors. The kitchen is large for events and surrounding rooms for meetings and elective group sharing. I suppose because it's in via of downtown and access to the via duct it may be quite priced for bookings let's hope the priopetor takes into consideration of traffic and road access when factoring costs as local businesses and trade are in its...
Read moreAttended and worked as a volunteer on the Justice Conference 2018. Very well organized and professionally presented conference over the two days and the setting up, all went off well. Lots of space for exhibitors and areas to relax. The Management and Staff of the complex were outstanding and all went the extra mile to make for a great overall experience at the Conference, There are huge amounts of parking available on site and easy access to the centre. Had outside vendors selling foods etc. making it so much easier for the people who were attending to purchase foods etc. Special thanks to all that worked on the Justice Conference and the Team from the Victory...
Read moreIf you get as far as the carpark, and it's full then you have no chance of getting into the right hand lanes to stay on the south side of the harbour bridge. But it only took us 10 minutes to criss the bridge and return again... but further 15 minutes find a park. The Centre was full for the Gabor Maté lecture. He was an engaging speaker but that wasn't enough to get over the extreme heat in the venue. We were in the top back row and we were sweating! The bottle of water we were given upon entry was hot by the time we finished it. Pretty poor air...
