A Hidden Gem in Auckland’s CBD! We recently visited Silo Park on our way to the nearby night market, and I have to say, this park is a real hidden gem in the heart of Auckland’s CBD. It may not be huge, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in its well-maintained facilities and charm. One of the first things that struck me was how clean and well-kept everything was. The park’s equipment, from the playground to the benches, is in excellent condition, showing that it’s well cared for and regularly maintained. It's rare to find a space like this in such a central, urban area that’s this well looked after, so a big thank you to Auckland Council for that! There’s a toilet facility within the park, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. It’s always great to have access to clean restrooms when you’re out exploring with family or friends, and Silo Park definitely delivers on that front. One of the standout features is the basketball court. It’s such a great addition, and I can imagine it’s a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to shoot some hoops. It’s not something you typically expect to find in the middle of the city, and it adds a fun, active element to the park that we really enjoyed. Overall, Silo Park offers a perfect little retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s a place where you can relax, let the kids play, or even get in a quick game of basketball—all while being surrounded by the unique industrial backdrop of the silos. It’s a rare find in such a busy part of town, and we’re so grateful it exists. Thank you, Auckland Council, for preserving this space and keeping it in such great condition. We’ll definitely be back to...
