A Hidden Gem in Auckland’s CBD! We recently visited Silo Park on our way to the nearby night market, and I have to say, this park is a real hidden gem in the heart of Auckland’s CBD. It may not be huge, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in its well-maintained facilities and charm. One of the first things that struck me was how clean and well-kept everything was. The park’s equipment, from the playground to the benches, is in excellent condition, showing that it’s well cared for and regularly maintained. It's rare to find a space like this in such a central, urban area that’s this well looked after, so a big thank you to Auckland Council for that! There’s a toilet facility within the park, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. It’s always great to have access to clean restrooms when you’re out exploring with family or friends, and Silo Park definitely delivers on that front. One of the standout features is the basketball court. It’s such a great addition, and I can imagine it’s a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to shoot some hoops. It’s not something you typically expect to find in the middle of the city, and it adds a fun, active element to the park that we really enjoyed. Overall, Silo Park offers a perfect little retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s a place where you can relax, let the kids play, or even get in a quick game of basketball—all while being surrounded by the unique industrial backdrop of the silos. It’s a rare find in such a busy part of town, and we’re so grateful it exists. Thank you, Auckland Council, for preserving this space and keeping it in such great condition. We’ll definitely be back to...

It's a nice walk along the water. You can browse the restaurants and bars by the water. You can walk, ride your bike or scooter around. A nice place for families on the weekend with a small shallow pool for kids to play in, a court for basketball etc, a playground, public toilets, you can catch a ride on the tram, you have a few playground spots, kids can play around the old silos. There's a mutli level walking platform you get views from. You can walk to the marina at the other end where they have a historical yacht walk through along the water. I love going around there when i need some blue space 🙂 I went for a ride on the tram last week and sadly the conductor said the service would be discontinued mid...

Nice outdoor open space, usually quiet. Plenty of activities can be done here, there is a playground with lots of equipment for the young ones and a basketball court for teenager. Also a little pool with artistic structure on top of it, lots of toddlers playing in the water. Car parkings nearby, first hour is free, just have to enter your plate number. Street parking is $3 per hour. Towards Dec endings there is social gathering events with food stand and playing area. Also projected outdoor movie which attracted lots of people coming. Overall excellent place for families.
